Hi ya, all! =) There is also a new sketch up over at CAS(E) This Sketch! First is this week's sketch.

Here is my take on it.

I couldn't resist playing with MFT's Flutter of Butterflies-Lace dies. =)

The butterfly is cut using watercolor paper and colored with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor. It's layered with another cut out with vellum to add a little dimension and interest.

I smooshed for the background using Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry distress inks. The sentiment is from MFT's Whimsical Wishes set.

That's all I have for now. Don't forget to find out what the other design team members came up with for this week's sketch and see all the challenge details over at CAS(E) This Sketch! =)

My Favorite Things Color Challenge #24

Happy Thursday, all! =) It's the fourth Thursday of the month and that means a new color palette is up over at MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog and here are the new colors.

Here is my take on it.

I couldn't resist using the super fun Abstract Cover-Up for this one! =)

I decided on a black card base to let the colors stand out more. This is also a smaller card so that the pieces would cover the entire card front. The "wish" die is from Stars & Wishes die set and the "big" is from the Count the Stars stamp set.

That's it for now. Don't forget to find out what my awesome teammates came up with for this color palette and see all the challenge details over at MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog! Hope you can play along with us! =)

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!

Green Acres

Happy Sunday, my friends! =) Here is a card that I made using some super fun stamps and dies from Paper Smooches.

You know I had to no-line color those cute animals! =)

The critters are from the Green Acres set. They are stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock with Antique Linen Distress Ink and colored with Copic markers. I cut them using the partial die cutting technique with the newly released matching dies and did more partial die-cutting for the hill using a die from Borders 1 set.

The patterned paper is from American Crafts Project Life Inspire Edition 6x6 Paper Pad and the sentiment is from Gently Seasoned Two set.

That's all for now. For more inspiration using stamps and dies from Paper Smooches, please visit Paper Smooches Blog! =)

Have a awesome day and thanks for stopping by!

My Favorite Things Summer School Day 5!

This is my second post of the day. Please click here or scroll down to see my post for Bellarific Friday. Thanks! =)

Hi ya, all! =) I am taking part in My Favorite Things Summer School fun and Day 5 is all about Quiet Space/White Space.

"White Space" stays in the background to make the focal point or the sentiment the unabashed star of the show. And it doesn't necessarily have to be white! And of course I couldn't the the "white" out of my head and went with a white background. =)

Mr. I-am-Not-Drunk Penguin from the Penguins in Paradise set is die cut and stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink then colored with Copic markers.

I used a few pieces of the Abstract Cover-Up cut outs to ground him and the sentiment and kept the background clean. Hope you likey! =)

Don't forget to go to My Favorite Things Blog to see a more detailed tutorial on today's lesson and find all the links to the design team members that created a sample for today's class! =)
