Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop

Hi, everyone! Welcome to Skipping Stones Design's Blog Hop to celebrate the release of a new stamp set, "Always Here." I am thrilled to be part of this blog hop. My super talented friend Krissy Ng is one of the masterminds behind the designing of this gorgeous stamp set. Congrats, girl! So proud and happy for you! =)

If you just happened upon my blog today, you'll want to go back to the beginning at Skipping Stones Design Blog. You should have arrived from Amanda Sewell's blog.

Combined with the blog hop today, it's also Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday which means the Design Team is showcasing another fabulous sketch from Maren Benedict! We'd love for you to play along with the sketch and link your card at the Skipping Stones Blog. Just remember to use the keywords SSD040 if you are uploading to any onling galleries. Here is the fabulous sketch:

Here is my card:

Isn't this butterfly gorgeous? I am in love with the intricate designs on the wings! I stamped it on a piece of rustic cream cardstock and colored it with Copic.

The sentiments in this set are very versatile. I love the elegant look of the different fonts!

I spritzed some pearlized water before I stamped the backgrounds with distress ink. All the paper edges are inked with tea dye. The seam binding is also dyed with tea dye to match.

That's all I have and it's time to send you to Dina Kowal's blog! Just in case any of the link broke along the way, you can always go to Kandi Phillips' blog for the master list! Have fun hopping! =)

So Jazzed

Happy Sunday, my friends! We had a meltingly hot week this past week and I am so happy that it's cooling down nicely. Hope you are enjoying a beautiful late summer day, too! =)

I made this card for the your best work challenge over at Bloggabella this past Friday.

I used Mo Manning's So Jazzed for my card. I just love seeing Bella and Bronte together. They make me happy! =) You can find the digital version here at Mo's Digital Pencil. I used the rubbah version from Stamping Bella.

I paired the image with some yumminess from October Afternoon's Fly A Kit collection. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. The seam binding is dyed with barn door. I love that delish color!

That's all I have for now. Hope your Sunday is fabulous!

Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #12

This is my second post of the day. Please click here or scroll down to see my post for Club Anya & Friends September release preview!

It's time for another Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge! First is this week's sketch:

Here is my card:

I used the beautiful digital freebie Shamrock for the main image. This is a very pretty stamp and it's free! I had a lot of fun coloring it.

I paired it with BasicGrey's elegant cappella collection. All the paper edges are inked with tea dye. The sentiment is from the Fancy Phrases set.

You can use any stamps you want for the challenge, but we would love it if you can use Waltzingmouse Stamps! Please go to the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog to see what the other Mischief Makers came up with and check out all the details for the challenge.

Hope you can join us this week!

Today, I am introducing a handsome addition to The Farm - Oh Boy! Ian. Here he is:

Isn't he cute? I adore him! He reminds me my sweet hubby a bit hence the blonde hair. =)

Today is also SKETCH SATURDAY over at Club Anya & Friends, so I used the sketch for my card. Here is the sketch created by Pam Varnell:

Oh, Boy! Ian will be available at The Greeting Farm store starting September 1st along with a few other sweet additions.

Don't forget to check out what all the Team Anya members came up with using this handsome stamp. Here are the links:

Happy Friday, my friends! Thanks for joining me for this week's card for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. Here is this week's sketch:

Mama Likes The Roses, Memory Lane & Gwenifer

Hi all! I have a few hybrid cards made using digital kits created by Two Peas' new digital designer - Jo Hanna to share with you.

I used the super cute Mama Likes The Roses kit for my first card. I adore the fun color combination in this kit. I layered the banner, heart pins and butterfly on the stripe paper before I printed it out. I then cut an extra set and layered them on top with rolled up glue dots for dimension. Victorian velvet is ther perfect fit with the pink/purple-ish pink in this kit, so I used it to dye my seam binding and for stamping the sentiment.

The second card was made using papers, alphas and elements from the adorable Memory Lane kit. I love the cute chubby birds and the long stem flowers in this kit. I added real stitches to the sentiment banner since they came with faux stitching.

I used the elegant Gwenifer for my last card. I love the distress-y, mono tones in this gorgeous kit. I went a little shabby with this card (too much?). I layered a few elements from the kit on all the papers before I printed them out. The clock, flower and text heart are also from the kit. The paper edges are inked with tea dye, vintage photo, walnut stain and a little tattered rose.

That's all I have for today. Don't forget to check out all of Jo Hanna's new digital kits here!

Kissy

Here is a card that I made for the sketch challenge over at Bloggabella last week. Here is the sketch that we were supposed to follow:

Here is my card:

I used Mo's adorable Kissy for my card. You can get the digital form of this stamp here at Mo's Digital Pencil. I got the rubbah version at Stamping Bella.

How could I not love this adorable little girl? She is so cut and with so much character! And very sweet, too! =)

I paired her with the lovely patterned papers from Melissa Frances' Kitschy Kitchen collection. These sweet papers are just perfect for this image. The sentiment came with the stamp. The seam binding was dyed with barn door.

That's all I have for now. Hope you all have a beautiful day! =)

turkey

I made this diagonal double pocket card for the Fall + Flod challenge over at the Squigglefly Challenge Blog.

The challenge is to make a diagonal double pocket card in fall colors. Here is a link to the tutorial on how to make a double pouch card. It may look complicated, but it was really easy to make.

I used the cute Thy Cart Overfloweth by Crissy Armstrong for my card. He is a lot of fun to color! The sentiment is Autumn Joy also by Crissy Armstrong.

The patterned papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Nutmeg collention. Perfect fall colors! I only managed to make one tag for the card, but there are two pouches. I thought you could put a gift card or money in the other pocket.

That's all I have for now. Hope you will have a chance to join us this week!

Have a wonderful week! =)

Penelope's Party Wagon

I made this easel card for the sweet Donna's birthday earlier this month and now that she received it (yeah... it was late...) I thought I would share it with you!

I used the super cute Penelope's Party Wagon from Mo's Digital Pencil for this card. I just adore Mo's images!

I paired her with patterned papers from October Afternoon and Collage Press. They were in a Studio Calico scrapbook kit from a while ago and I thought those colors were perfect for a birthday card.

I was very happy to know that Donna liked my card. Sorry that it was late, girl! Love ya! =)

That's all I have for now. Hope your Sunday is fabulous!
