Super Cupcake Marci

Happy Halloween! Do you have any plan to go trick or treating? Since we don't have kids, we don't really celebrate it. I do like Halloween candies though. =)

Here is a card that I made using a cutie from La La Land Crafts.

I used the adorable Super Cupcake Marci for my card. A cupcake super hero is probably what I would choose to be if we celebrate Halloween! =)

I paired her with BasicGrey's super sweet Sugar Rush collection. The sentiment is from this sticker sheet by SRM Stickers. This super fun scallop die is also used on the lilac patterned paper.

That's all I have for today. Hope your day is super fun and happy! =)

Hi all! Thanks for joining me for a card for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. Here is the sketch:

Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #132

Happy Friday, my friends! It's time for a card for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. We took a two week break and now we are back! Here is this week's sketch:

Here is my card:

I used the super adorable Sugar and Spice illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller for my card.

Who can resist this sweet image? Not to mention that hubby and I both love squirrels, so this was a must have. =) I think I may have colored the squirrels a little too red though... This stamp is available at PaperWorks Co. and it's on sale!

The patterned paper and elements that I used are from Boutique Cute Dolls' Play Kitchen digital kit. Just perfect for this image! I inked all the paper edges with tea dye and vintage photo. The border punch is this one.

That's all I have for now. Don't forget to check out what all the other members of the TESC Sketch Crew came up with for this sketch!! Here are the links:

Scary Boo & Welcome Baby

If you are here for BnW's Snowbaby Collection Release Blog Hop, please click here. Thanks!

Hi all! I have a few hybrid cards to share with you today.

I used Edeline Marta's Scary Boo kit for my first two cards.

The elements in this kit are perfect for cute Halloween cards. I printed the haunted house at about 5" tall. I then flipped the image horizontally and printed it out as the back of the house/card.

I cut an opening at the bottom of each window and tucked the ghosts in. The "boo!" sentiment was stamped on the house before printing. I pop dotted the ghost behind the sentiment. The cat is also cut out then pop dotted to the roof.

There are really pretty patterned paper in this kit as well. I used a few of them on my second card. I think they would be perfect for even non-Halloween projects.

The trick or treat kids, clouds and moon are all included in the Scary Boo kit. I punched the grass out using this punch and the fence is also punched using a Martha Stewart punch.

The sentiment inside is from the Midnight Feast set by Waltzingmouse Stamps.

I used Wilna Furstenberg's lovely Welcome Baby kit for this simple card.

This animal circle image gave me the "we are the world" kind of feel and that's the inspiration for this card. I cut out and pop dotted an extra set of the animals over the circle for some dimension. The sentiment is from this Hero Arts set.

That's all I have. Hope your day is fabulous! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome to Belles 'n Whistles "Snowbaby Collection" Release Blog Hop. If you came from Andrea's blog, you are on the right track. If not, you can go to the Belles 'n Whistles Blog and start the hop there. Remember to leave comments along the way, each of the design team members will pick a random winner to receive the stamps they featured on their blogs today!

Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the fact that two of the BnW DT members has been diagnosed with breast cancer this past year, the sweet and caring Summer (owner) decided to make this Snowbaby collection a collection for a cause. She will be donating 10% of the proceeds from this collection to Breast Cancer Research in Jacque and Elise's honor. You can see this beautiful collection here. Pre-order of this new collection starts today and the shipping starts October 29th.

I am featuring the lovely Snowball Snowbaby for the release. Isn't she darling? It looks like she is thinking about who is her next "victim." =) She grows on me!

After coloring her, I cut her out using a oval die then inked the image with tumbled glass while the paper was still in the die. I then masked her and stamped the snowflakes around her using the same ink.

I paired her with the pretty paper from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather collection. I also stamped the Music Background with VersaMark on the card base. The sentiment is from this set and the frame was inked with tumbled glass when the paper was still in the die.

It's time to send you to Yenni's blog! Don't forget to leave a comment here for a chance to win this cutie! Remember to leave comments on each of the blogs on the hop then go back to the Belles 'n Whistles Blog and leave a comment told them that you have done so. Sledding Chloe & Happy Holly Days

Happy Sunday, my friends! Here is a hybrid card that I made for this week's Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge #15.

The challenge theme is "anything winter." I thought a Christmas card should qualify. =) I used the super fun and adorable Sledding Chloe for my card. Gotta love her reindeer passenger! Isn't he supposed to be pulling the sleigh? LOL! Just love this image!

I went with the red, green and gold holiday festive colors for this image. I added Golden Rod Stickles to all the stars and Silver Stickles on the little dots. Flower Soft was added to the fluffy balls at the end of the hat and scarf.

The background paper and the red mat under the image are from Polka Dot Pixels' Happy Holly Days - Snowy Paper Pack digital kit. The patterned paper strips, the Dear Santa note and the sentiment tag are from the Happy Holly Days kit also created by Polka Dot Pixels. These pretty and delightful paper is perfect for this image!

I managed to make one more card using Rin and Snowman with different washi paper. Here it is:

I'll try and tuck them in my posts if I got any chance to make more!

That's all for today. Have a fantastic Sunday! =)

Caring Hearts Blog Hop

This is my second post of the day, please click here or scroll down to see my card for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. Thanks!

Welcome to Caring Hearts Blog Hop! If you came from Vera's blog, you are on the right track.

The sweet Vera organized this blog hop to promote and serves as a reminder of the meaningful  CARING HEARTS CARD DRIVE . The card drive is to collect holiday cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes, care centers or assisted living facilities. Hope you can help us spread the love and join the card drive. There are prizes up for grabs for each card you donate, too! The deadline for the card drive is November 15th.

On to my cards for the blog hop and the card drive.

I have those adorable penguin images already colored sitting in my stash and thought that I could make a couple of quick cards with them. They are from Pink Petticoat's super cute Have an Ice Christmas digital stamp set. The sentiments came with the images.

I think they are so cute and delightful and hope that they can bring some smiles to the recipients. The patterned paper is from BasicGrey's Eskimo Kisses collection. I added Flower Soft to the snow and to the hat of one of the penguins.

It's time to send you to Alicia Thelin's blog. Just in case you got lost, you can go back to Vera's blog for the master list. Hope you have fun hopping!

Holiday Thinking Inking

Here are a few cards that I made for the "Holiday Thinking Inking" class hosted by Jennifer McGuire over at Two Peas.

This card is for the Week 1 class. I inked the lovely Winking Reindeer with tea dye and vintage photo. The holly from this set is inked with shabby shutters and crashed olive. The label cut from this die is inked with tea dye and aged mahogany.

The background paper is from BasicGrey's Basics White paper pad. I inked it with tea dye, crushed olive and with a little bit of vintage photo on the edges. The Flourish Pine (on sale!) is stamped with tea dye. The design of this card is also inspired by Jennifer's sample card here.

I used the addictive Block Background technique from Week 2 for these next two cards. I used tumbled glass, shabby shatters and a little bit of tea dye for the sky. I then stamped the snowflakes with tumbled glass on the background. To finish it, I added mini gems on the reindeer's nose and at the knot on his embroidery floss scarf inspired by the uber talented Lisa Spangler.

The Winking Reindeer is colored using a watercolor brush with tea dye and vintage photo. I also stamped the versatile Music Background with VersaMark on the card base.

For this card, I again colored the cute little dog with various distress inks and a watercolor brush. I cut him out and pop dotted him over the branch. The lovely Lot Like Christmas background is also stamped on the card base with VersaMark.

I also submitted these card to Hero Arts challenge this month. The challenge theme is Holiday cardmaking. I had such fun making these cards. Go and check out Jennifer's classes at Two Peas here, if you haven't already!

That's all for today. Hope you have a happy Friday, my friends! =)

Antoinette

Hi all! It's been ages since I last played alone with the challenges over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog, so I thought I would give it a try this week.

The challenge this week's is Non-traditional Christmas Colors. I used brown, turquoise/blue and cream.

I used the sweet and delightful Antoinette for my card. She is one of my most favorites of my Kraftin' Kimmie collection. I love that big, happy grin. =) I added some Frosted Lace Stickles on the white parts of her dress, but they are very subtle and hard to see in the photo.

I paired her with My Mind's Eye's Bohemia Christmas from two years (?) ago. I used the snowflake accessary stamp that came with Antoinette to stamp the border and on the sentiment oval tag after I inked them with tumbled glass and tea dye. All paper edges are inked with these two inks as well. The seam binding is dyed with vintage photo. The sentiment is from this SRM Sticker Sheet. I was one of the lucky winners of the World Card Making Day festivities at the SRM Stickers Blog and this wonderful sticker sheet was included in the prize pack. It really came super handy since I don't have a lot of holiday stamps. Thanks, SRM Stickers!

That's it for today. Hope you have a beautiful day! =)
