Lily Pad Cards Inspirational Challenge #1

This is my second post of the day, please scroll down to see my last preview for Sweet November Stamps' Flitter Friend release. Thanks! =)

Happy weekend, all! =) I am sharing a card for this week's challenge over at Lily Pad Cards.

It's Inspirational Challenge this week. The challenge is to make a card inspired by anything that has appeared on Lily Pad Cards. I was inspired by this card created by Deborah.

I mirrored Deborah's design to fit my image. This stamp is called Cherry on Top from Lili of the Valley. I adore these little mice! =) It's stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock then colored with Copic markers. The image is then cut and embossed using a Lables 17 die. The sentiment is cut and embossed using a Petite Ovals Small die.

The patterned paper is from the Pixie collection by Memory Box. The red/pink piece is cut using the Fancy Hearts border die from Whiff of Joy Stamps. The sentiment is from this set by Hero Arts.

Don't forget to hop over to Lily Pad Cards and check out what the other Dream Team member came up with for this challenge.

Funny how some of you (okay, one) asked me if there is a third post yesterday. This post was supposed to go up yesterday, but I really didn't want to bug you with one more card. Thus a second two-post day... But really, if you consider this card and this project. I really had four posts yesterday. LOL! Oh, and I watched the Royal Wedding LIVE! =) No, I don't sleep.

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

After coloring, the image is cut using a Petite Ovals Large die. The sentiment piece is cut using a Classic Ovals Small die then matted with a piece of patterned paper cut using a Classic Scalloped Ovals Small die.

Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge #40

Hi all! Thanks for joining me for a card for this week's Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge. Here is this week's challenge:

It's an inspiration challenge this time. Here is a better look of the inspiration photo.

Here is my card:

I used the colors from the photo to color my image and added a few punched butterflies to add to the girly butterfly theme.

The image that I used is Rollerblading Chloe. She sure is enjoying a beautiful Spring day! =) I actually made a little boo boo after I colored it, so I had to create a scene to cover it...

The patterned paper is from the Frond collection by Memory Box and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. The butterflies are punched using Martha Stewart's 3-in-1 Butterfly Punch.

That's all I have. Please go and check out what the other design team members came up with for this challenge and find out all the details for the challenge here. Hope you can join us this week! =)

p.s. In celebration of the Big Mama's birthday over at Inspiration Emporium, from now until the end of the month you will receive 15% off your entire purchase. Use discount code "bigmama"! Oh! and fun things here, you may have to wait until after 5 a.m. to see it though. =)

Henry in Love

Happy Sunday, all! I have a card made using Whiff of Joy Stamps digital stamps to share with you today.

I used the lovely Henry in Love for my card. You can also purchase the pre-colored version of this image here to save you time.

I printed the image on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, cut it out using a Petite Ovals Large die then colored Henry with Copic markers. After coloring, the piece is matted with a piece of patterned paper cut using Petite Scalloped Ovals Large die before I stitched the layers together.

The blue patterned paper is cut using the Lovely Hearts border die also available at the WOJ store. I tugged a tag cut using the Sweet Tags with Hearts die under the colored image for added interest. The sentiment is from the General Sayings II set by Whiff of Joy Stamps as well. The patterned paper is from the Stella and Rose Hattie collection.

That's all I have for today. Have a beautiful day!

Lily Pad Cards Lucy's Lovely Lines Challenge

Happy weekend, my friends! This week's challenge over at Lily Pad Cards is a wonderful sketch created by the uber talented Lucy Abrams! Here is the sketch:
Here is my take on the sketch:

I love the simplicity of Lucy's sketch and took it for a little spin (as always). =) This week's sponsor is Penny Black.

The adorable image is from the paint the town transparent set. This stamp is too cute! I don't know why they have to do the painting outdoors, but it just turned out this way... The image is matted with a piece of "mix & match" paper from the grand canyon set from Penny Black before I pop dotted it on the kraft card base.

I actually messed up the ground a little. It's layers and layers of "corrections" now and it looks muddy. LOL! Oh well, it's just a early Spring day right after the snow melted. =) The image is colored with Copic markers and the clouds are cut using dies from Papertrey Ink. The edges of the clouds are inked lightly with tumbled glass. The sentiment is also from Penny Black.

That's all I have for today. Please go to this post to check out what the other Dream Team members came up with and find out how you can join the fun! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

PaperWorks Co. April Release Blog Hop

Welcome to PWCO April Release Blog Hop! There are some super cute stamps being released this month from the new Cutie Patootie Collection, so make sure you hop along to see them all! Here are the cards that I made for the release.

I used Garden Bear for my first card. Isn't he cute? I do love his big head! =)

I colored him on watercolor paper with Twinkling H2Os before cutting the image out using a Labels One die. The piece is then matted with a piece of patterned paper cut using a Big Scalloped Circles Large die.

The patterned paper is from the Sweet Summertime collection by Echo Park and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink

For my second card I used Ice Cream Bear. I figured if a bear can have an ice cream cone, then he is allowed to have the ice cream in rainbow colors! =) I adore this delightful image.

He is also colored with Twinkling H2Os on watercolor paper. The image is then cut using a Standard Circles Large die then matted with a piece of patterned paper cut using a Big Scalloped Circles Large die before I stitched the layers together.

The sentiment tag is cut using the Sweet Tags with Hearts die from Whiff of Joy Stamps and the sentiment is from the Strawberries set by Flourishes. The patterned paper is also from the Sweet Summertime collection by Echo Park.

That's all I have for now. It's time to send you to Nicole's blog. Or here is the blog hop list:
We are giving away 6 stamps (one of each style) for random commenters, so don't forget to leave comments along the way!

Mo & Zo's Carnival Hop!

Welcome to the Mo & Zo's Carnival Blog Hop! If you arrived from Heidy's blog, you are on the right track. If you just popped in to say hi and want to join us on the Carnival Hop then you'll want to start here.

Zoe from Make it Crafty and Mo from Mo's Digital Pencil have come together to share the delight and fun of The Carnival. To celebrate, the two fabulously talented teams have come together for a massive blog hop to offer you plenty of inspiration when playing with these images. Here is my card:

I combined Mo's Kate at the Carnival and Zoe's Candy Cart for my card. Both Mo and Zoe's carnival images are so fun and festive! I would love having a huge bag of kettle corn now! =)

After printing the image on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, I cut the image out using a Labels 17 die. It's then colored with Copic markers. The piece is then matted with a piece of cardstock. The sentiment piece is cut using a Classic Ovals Small die then matted with a piece of cardstock cut using a Classic Scalloped Ovals Small die.

The patterned paper is from the Playground collection by Echo Park and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Along the way you will find balloons with a letter in them. Write them down as you go because at the very end we want you to guess what the saying is! There will be THREE grand prizes randomly drawn from the correct answers PLUS there will be hidden prizes along the way, so make sure you leave some love as you go!

In case you have trouble seeing my balloon, my letter is "I".

Now we know this is a super big hop, but we wanted to make sure you would get LOTS of inspiration! The hop will be open until the 28th of April, so you will have plenty of time to come back each day with a cuppa to soak it all up! (Just don't lose the letter you have been collecting!)

We would like to thank our fabulous sponsors: Mo's Digital Pencil, Make it Crafty, Stamping Bella and Quixotic Paperie for providing the fabulous prizes for this grand carnival hop!

Mo's has drawn up another adorable image for fund raiser. This time it's for the Make a Wish Foundations in the US and UK. Click on the image above to purchase the image and help!

Make sure to leave a comment for the "possible" chance of winning some hidden treasure before hopping over to Debbie's blog.

Have fun hopping and thanks for stopping by!

Side by Side, Leaf Prints & lucky dragonfly

Hi all! I have a couple of cards to share with you today.

I made this card for the Kit of the Month Wednesday over at the PWCO Blog.

The adorable image is Side by Side illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller. I just adore this cute image! It's stamped on Copic X-press It cardstock, then colored with Copic markers. The image is then cut using a Petite Ovals Large die and matted with a piece of cardstock cut using a Petite Scalloped Ovals Large die before I stitched the layers together.

The patterned paper, colored cardstock, ribbon and brads are from PWCO's April PaperCard Kit. I love the fun paper from the Playground collection by Echo Park in this kit. It's perfect for boy projects, don't you think? =) The sentiment tag is cut using the Tiny Tags die and the sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set Tiny Tags.

I made this card for a blog friend who was going through a hard time a couple of weeks ago. I used the beautiful Leaf Prints from Hero Arts for the focal panel. The leaf was inked with peeled paint, it was then spritzed with some water before I stamped the first impression off on a scratch paper. I then stamped the second impression on the vintage cream paper for a fainter look. I repeated this for the rest of the piece then switched to forest moss for the darker color. The brown cardstock is embossed with the Tim Holtz Damask & Regal Flourishes (it's on sale!) textured fades embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Find Joy set also from Hero Arts.

I made this card for the poppystamps blog. Please hop over to find out more details about it. Thanks!

That's it for now. Have a beautiful day! =)
