Painter's Pallet

This is my second post of the day. Please click here or scroll down to see my post for Krafty Klubhouse Set Release Blog Hop. Thanks! =)

It's Friday and it's release day over at A Day For Daisies. This week's release is called School Days and here is my card made using one of the lovely images from the new release.

We are also combining this week's release with a new challenge over at A Day For Daisies Blog. The new challenge theme is "Break Out the School Supplies." All you need to do is to incorporate some type of school supplies in your cards/projects. It could be notebook or graphic paper, paper clips, etc. Have fun with it! I am hoping that watercolor pencils count as school supply... =)

The image that I used is called Painter's Pallet and it's printed on watercolor paper, colored with watercolor pencils. After coloring the image, I then went on and made a mess with lots of water and more watercolor to make the splattered background.

The sentiment is from Spring Fling set by Paper Smooches.

That's all for now. Don't forget to find out what the other design team members came up with using this cute release for the challenge. You can find all the newly released images here! Hope you can join us on the challenge! =)

Have a happy day and thanks for stopping by!

This brand new birthday set is available starting NOW at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Store! Don't forget to go and grab yours after hopping! =) Here is my card for the hop.

I decided to stamped all three of my images from this set on a panel of cardstock trimmed to 3/8" smaller than my card base and try to make each of them look different. Just to challenge myself a bit. =) You'll see my card with Mr. Unicorn tomorrow, so you be the judge! =)

The genie is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then trimmed to size.

The patterned paper that I used to cover the card base is from The Sweetest Thing Lavender 6x6 Designer Paper Pad by My Mind's Eye. I used coordinating decorative tapes from the same collection to add some interest to the panel. The sentiment comes with Three Wishes set.

Be part of the Krafty Klub and order your exclusive set (It's up on the site NOW!) which features three special edition stamps designed by Annie Rodrigue and several matching sentiments. Three Wishes will be sold only as a set and only at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Store! Get Outta Town

Hello, my friends! Have you been joining in the fun of the Card Design Handbook Week in the Moxie Fab World? That magazine is packed with design basics for cardmakers and don't forget to pick one up here! I was lucky enough to have a couple of cards published in this issue and you can see one of them featured here and another one featured here.

Today's card is for the Asymmetry Challenge. You may have noticed that I have been using this design many times now. =)

We needed a card for a going away party for a neighbor in our condo building and since the recipient is a girly girl, I decided to go with a bit of a girly/nostalgic look. The suitcase stack from Get Outta Town set is stamped on patterned paper then shaded with Copic markers.

The patterned paper is from London Market 6x6 Collage Paper Pack by Pink Paislee and the sentiment is from Postmarks set by Papertrey Ink.

That's all for now. Have a beautiful day! =)
