having fun with Paper Smooches!!

Hello, all! Paper Smooches is showing off their CHA release during the entire month of January. 37 designers are participating along with the PS DT, so there will be a ton of projects to inspire you this month. I have the honor of being one of the 37 designers being invited to help out with this special event and I am so excited about the new products! =)

Paper Smooches is known for their fun and whimsical hand-drawn stamps. They decided that it was time to broaden their product line to include DIES and wood mount stamps! I used both the NEW Notebook Scallop Die and Notebook Stamp Set on my first card. Gotta love the funky notebooks page die!!

After die cutting the notebook page from cardstock, I stamped the cute rocking horse from Knick Knacks set. The image is then masked before I stamped the notebook lines from the NEW Notebook Stamp Set over it. The image is then colored with Copic markers.

I stamped the little accessary stamps from Knick Knacks set on the card front for a little interest.

For my second card, I used the notebook lines from Notebook Stamp Set as the background.

The simplicity of the notebook lines allows the little chick from Chubby Chums set to stand out. The little heart is from Giddy Bugs set.

I used a couple of Japanese washi tapes to ground the little chick and the sentiment is from Chubby Chums set. I am also entering both of my cards to the Make Your Own Background Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and the Make Your Mark Challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays.

Both of the NEW PS products that I used in my projects and many others are going to be released on February 1, 2013 at Paper Smooches along with many retail stores around the globe. You will find a new blog link (or two) to follow every day in January at the PS Blog.

Paper Smooches is giving away $500 worth of product during this event! Hidden on FIVE of the participating blogs is a prize package worth $100 each. The prize includes a variety of stamp sets, wood mount stamps and dies. Comment on as many participating blogs as you can to increase your chances to be one of the five lucky winners. The deadline for the giveaway is January 30th. Winners will be announced on the PS Blog on January 31st.

Have a happy day and thanks for stopping by!

What to Draw?

Hi ya, all! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far. =) Here is a card that I made using a sweet image from Mo's Digital Pencil.

She reminds me of my brother's second daughter. She loves to draw and when I saw this image I had to make a card for her! =)

The image is called What to Draw? and it's printed on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then trimmed to size.

The patterned paper is from So Happy Together 6x6 Paper Pad by Echo Park and the sentiment is from Year Around Sentiments set by Hero Arts.

That's all for now. For more inspirations using images from Mo's Digital Pencil, please visit Mo's Dream Team Blog. =)

finally...

I am posting a layout! =) I made this sometime last year for Purple Onion Designs, but never got around to post it.

I also never got around to add journaling. Hanging head in shame... I intended to add a list of things he likes to do, play or eat as of now or at the time the photos were taken.

The photos are printed on Ranger's Sticky Back Canvas then mounted on cardstock for stability. Isn't he handsome? =)

I used the circular seasons stamp from POD's Date Me - Seasons set and it's on sale! I used it to make "patterns" rather than using it as is. Does that make sense? =)

The patterned paper, cardstock, alpha stickers are from a very old scrapbook kit from Cocoa Daisy and I think most of them are from Sassafras Lass. Yeah, I used to be a subscriber and scrapbooked a lot, but not anymore. =)

That's all for today. Have a fabulous weekend, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

I Love My Three Kids

Happy Friday, all! =) This week we are going to keep on showcasing images from the Winter Mix and the I Love collections released at A Day For Daisies last week.

Isn't this a sweet image? =)

This image is called I Love My Three Kids and it's printed on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then cut and embossed using a Petite Ovals Small die. I added Glossy Accents to the hearts for a little interest.

The background is created by cutting patterned paper from 5th & Frolic 6x6 Paper Pad with the Heart and XOXO border dies from Papertrey Ink and lined them up alternately. The sentiment is from Beautiful Words set by Simon Says Stamp.

That's all I have for now. Don't forget to find out what the other design team members created using these two releases here! =)

Type It

Happy Monday, all! =) It's Day 4 of Mama Elephant's stamp highlight and we are showcasing the fun Type It set.

I love typewriters and really happy that Mama Elephant created its own version. I also love the fun touch on the curled corner of the paper. Both the cupcake icon and sentiment are included in the Type It set.

The background is created with the stripes border stamp from Basic Borders set and an assortment of Japanese washi tapes. I flicked some pink ink drops onto the card front to tie everything together. Since I used washi tapes and created the background, I am entering this to the Make Your Own Background Paper Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World and the Use Washi Tape challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog.

That's all I have. Don't forget to find out what the other design team members created using this fun new set. Here are the links:

Beautiful Words + Zig Zag & a reject

Happy weekend, my friends! =) I am sharing a couple of cards with you today. First up is a card published in Paper Crafts magazine's inspiring Die Cutting for Paper Crafters issue.

I used the super fun zig zag die from Hero Arts Frame Cuts Rectangle Frame die set and cut out numerous zig zags then line them up to create the focal point. I really didn't think too much about the colors as I was gluing them, but did avoid repeating one color too often. Other than that, it's just what pleased me. =) The sentiment is from Beautiful Words set by Simon Says Stamp.

You can see the other card from me that was also published in this same issue featured here. This is a versatile issue with lots and lots of ideas on using die cuts in your projects, so go and grab your copy if you haven't already!

After the glory of published work, I am sharing a reject. =)

This is a card that I submitted for a recent call. I played with the fab Smitten set from Mama Elephant. Since I did stampe the background, I thought that I'd enter this to the Make Your Own Background Paper Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.

That's all for today. Have a fabulous day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Smitten

This is my second post of the day. Please click here or scroll down to see my post for this week's release over at A Day For Daisies. Thanks! =)

Hi ya, all! It's Day 3 of Mama Elephant's stamp highlight and we are showcasing the fabulous Smitten set today!

This is another one layer card. I created the background by pressing stamping inks onto my acrylic block then picked up the colors with a very wet paint brush and flick the water drops on the card front.

I once again used the feather included in the Smitten set with another fun sentiment. Gotta love this versatile set! =)

That's all I have. Don't forget to find out what the other design team members created using this fun new set. Here are the links:

Mom And Her Girls & Gift For Fairy

Happy Friday, my friends! =) It's release day over at A Day For Daisies and this week's releases are called I Love and Winter Mix.

We are also combining this week's release with a new challenge over at A Day For Daisies Blog. This week's challenge is to use the color red. Easy peasy! =)

This sweet image is called Mom And Her Girls and it reminds me of my sister-in-law and their beautiful girls, so I had to make a card for her! =) The image is printed on PTI's Rustic White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then fuzzy cut out.

The patterned paper is from Everyday Eclectic 6x6 Paper Pad by Echo Park and the sentiment is from Talk Bubbles 2 set by Simon Says Stamp.

My second card used an image from the lovely Winter Mix collection. I am still trying to figure out the new camera that my brother gave me, so please forgive my photos if they look weird the next couple of weeks. =)

This image is called Gift For Fairy and it's printed on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then trimmed to size.

The patterned paper is from So Happy Together 6x6 Paper Pad by Echo Park and the sentiment is from Quilled Elegance set by Papertrey Ink.

That's all I have. Don't forget to find out what the other design team members came up with for the new challenge using the new releases here. And you can find all the newly released images here. Hope you can join us this week! =)

Starry Night

This is my second post of the day. Please click here or scroll down to see my post for Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop. Thanks! =)

Hi and thanks for joining me for Day 2 of Mama Elephant's stamp highlight. We are sharing projects created using Starry Night set today.

For my first card, I made a little birthday card with the Leo sign from Cosmic Stars set with a sentiment from the Starry Night set.

The white little stars on the background was created using a background building image from the Starry Night set as well. The triangles on the bottom is from the fabulous Trifecta set.

I paired yet another cute star signs from Cosmic Stars set with a sentiment from Starry Night once again for my second card.

These two sets just work so well together and those star signs are so versatile, too! The arrows is from On Target set. I love it when all the stamp sets work beautifully together! =)

That's all I have. Don't forget to find out what the other design team members created using this fun new set. Here are the links:

Hi and welcome to Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop! If you arrived from Heidy's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, you can start  the hop from Julie's Blog. You wouldn't want to miss any of the stops of this fun blog hop! =)

This month's hostess is Julie and she challenged the team to use embellishments, the more the merrier. Well, I used washi tapes and buttons on my card and used as many as I am happy with. =)

The image that I used is called Making Cards and it's printed on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then trimmed to size.

The patterned paper is from Soleil 6x6 Paper Pad by BasicGrey and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

That's all I have. It's time to send you to Debbie's Blog. Don't forget to leave comments along the way, because TWO lucky comments will each receive a $5 gift certificate to use at Mo's Digital Pencil!
