CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #119

Happy Friday, my friends! =) It's time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays! Here is the new challenge.

Create a clean and simple project incorporates either dry or heat embossing for a chance to win! This is a two week challenge, so there is plenty of time to play along!

I went with dry embossing for my card. Before sending the cardstock through the die cutting machine, I also inked the impression plate to get the faux letterpress look.

The lightbulb is from Perpetual Bliss set by Paper Smooches. It's colored with Copic markers, I then covered the bulb part with a good layer of Glossy Accents to get a nice shiny look.

The sentiment is from Smitten set by Mama Elephant. I did a little bit of partial masking to make the orientation of the phrase came out the way I wanted. A couple pieces of Japanese washi tape and sequins helped finishing the design.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Ellen Hutson. Don't forget to find out what the other Girl Fridays came up with for this challenge and see all the challenge details here. Hope you can join us! =)

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!

Little Witch

Hello, all! Here is a simple Halloween card that I made using a beautiful image from Mo's Digital Pencil.

Looks like she is ready for Halloween, how about you? We don't really celebrate Halloween, but we do put out candies/chocolate for the kids that goes around trick or treating in our condo building.

The image that I used is called Little Witch and it's printed on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then trimmed to size.

Since this card has a dark card base, I finished the inside to match the card front. Fun, no? =)

I kept the design of this card super simple, but added Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the Papertrey Ink sentiment die cut for a little interest.

That's all for now. For more inspiration using images from Mo's Digital Pencil, please visit Mo's Dream Team Blog! =)

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!

More cards with Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!

Hello, all! =) Here are a few more cards that I made using the super cute Holiday release from Newton's Nook Designs.

First up is a card with a cute kitty from Newton's Holiday Mischief set.

She is of course modeled after our black girl cat - Aimee! =) The kitty is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White card base then colored with Copic markers.

I used a craft knife to cut the bottom of the kitty paw open and slid the piece of holiday theme mt washi tape through it to create the fun look. The sentiment is included in the Newton's Holiday Mischief set.

Next up is the adorable Scottie from Canine Christmas set. Don't you love his plaid cape? =)

The handsome Scottie is stamped on PTI's Rustic Cream cardstock then colored with Copic markers.

I thought it would be fun to add those postal looking mt masking tapes to match the card/letter theme. =) The sentiment comes with the Canine Christmas set.

This third card is really simple using the whimsical ornaments from Holiday Wishes set.

After coloring them, I added Glossy Accents to all the ornaments for a little interest. The sentiment is included in this set.

Last but not least is a card that features the fun SEAsons Greetings set.

Look at how happy Mr. Octopus is with his presents! =) Mr. Octopus and the boat full of presents are colored with Copic markers then fuzzy cut out. I color one extra hand (with yellow glove), cut it out and adhered it over the boat to make it look like Mr. Octopus is hugging the boat.

The patterned paper is from Atlantic 6x6 Paper Pad by Studio Calico and the sentiment comes with the SEAsons Greetings set.

That's all for now, thanks so much for sticking around for the long post! For more inspirations using stamps from Newton's Nook Designs, please visit Newton's Nook Designs Blog! =)

Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect Challenge

Happy Monday, my friends! =) It's time for a new Picture Perfect Challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Blog. Here is this week's inspiration photo.

Isn't these leaves beautiful? Here is how it inspired me.

I tried to mimic the colors of the leaves in the photo and ink them as close to the colors as I could, but I guess it didn't really work that way. =)

The leaves are inked with Memento Luxe Inks. I applied the colors with cosmetic sponge and rub the inks a little with my fingers afterward to blend them better. Each of the leaves was coated with Rock Candy Distress Stickles for a little shine.

The patterned paper is from Reflections Fall 6x6 Paper Pad by Echo Park. The jar and matching die are from Crystal Clear set and the sentiment is from Chit Chat set.

That's all from me. Don't forget to find out what the other design team members came up with for this challenge. Here are the links:
Hope you can join us this week! =)

Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

Heartfelt Holiday

Happy Sunday, my friends! =) I am once again playing along with this week's CAS(E) this Sketch!

This is such a simple and fun sketch!

I decided to alter the sketch a little, hope that's okay. =) I finished this card late and had to take a photo in the setting afternoon sun, so the color got a little wonky on me. Sorry about that!

I inked up the beautiful Heartfelt Holiday set from Wplus9 for my card. I adore the homespun feel of this set! =)

That's all I have. Have a cozy day! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge

Hello every one! I am playing along with Papertrey Ink's October Blog Hop Challenge today.

This month's challenge is to make a set of five tags. Sounds easy, right?

It sounded easy, but this is seriously the fifth try from me. The previous four designs were miserable and this one is finally presentable. I don't know why I had such trouble, but glad that I kept trying. =)

I used Cream Shimmer Cardstock for the tag and the subtle shine is really nice. The joy die is from One Liners die collection.

That's all from me. You can find out all the details and links for this fun hop here!

Have a happy day and thanks for stopping by!

Peace Joy Love

Hi ya, all! Hope your week is off to a great start! =) Here is a card for the Christmas/Happy Holiday Challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.

I actually based the card design on CAS(E) this Sketch #49 and didn't realize that I was one week late until I saw sketch #50 went up. That was definitely a forehead palm moment. =)

I traced all the stamping with a Clear Wink of Stella brush pen for a really nice subtle shine.

The whimsical sentiments are from the Peace Joy Love set by Lawn Fawn as well as the snowflakes.

That's all for now. Have a lovely day! =)

Thanks for stopping by!
