Snowy, Silver, Frost & Holiday Sweets

Happy Black Friday, my friends! =) Hope you are having a wonderful shopping day!

Purple Onion Designs is also having a sale starting today. ALL stamps are 25% off. Use discount code HOL2013 at check out to receive the discount, the sale ends December 10th. Here are a couple of cards made using the new holiday releases.

I paired up Snowy, Silver and Frost for my first card. These little guys are must-haves, I tell ya! =)

All the little critters are stamped and colored with Copic markers on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock then fuzzy cut out.

After trimming the background panel, I stamped it with Snowflakes released last year and added Star Dust Stickles on the centers of the snowflakes.

I trimmed patterned paper from Pink Paislee's City Sidewalks 8x8 Paper Pack into half inch strips, glue them done on a piece of thin cardstock before die cutting with the Big Hello die. I also layered a few pieces of the hello cut out to create dimension. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Holiday set by Wplus9.

I colored up a few of the yummy food items from Holiday Sweets set for my second card.

They are stamped on Rustic White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then fuzzy cut out. I added Xmas Red Stickles to the berries for a little sparkle.

The sentiment banner is also included in the Holiday Sweets set. I colored two of them and cut out one of the "eat drink & be merry" part and popped it over the second one for dimension.

That's all I have for now. Don't forget to check out the awesome sale at Purple Onion Designs, also have a look in the Sale Stamps section, the stamps there get an additional 25% off!

Critters in Costume + So Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, my friends! Have you started cooking? We won't have our Thanksgiving dinner with friends until Friday, but we already started cooking. Okay, hubby started and I'd help whenever I am needed. =) I thought I'll try out the Lawn Fawn CHA 2014 Catalog Challenge this time.

I know that Critters in Costume is a Halloween set, but this bunny (I think?) in pumpkin image is perfect for a thank you card, don't you think? =)

The bunny in pumpkin from Critters in Costume set and the pumpkins from So Thankful set are stamped on Rustic White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut out.

I die cut a few leaves from Stitched Leaves die set with kraft cardstock then inked them with Tea Dye Distress ink before coating them with Rock Candy Distress Stickles. The sentiment is from So Thankful set.

That's all from me. Have a beautiful day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect Challenge

Happy Monday, my friends! It's time for a new Picture Perfect Challenge over at Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge Blog. Here is this week's inspiration photo.

Here is my take on it.

I was trying to create a silhouette of a couple looking at sunset, does that make sense?

I used the "backs" of the gingerbread people from Giddy Gumdrops set for my couple. =) I stamped them on kraft cardstock, cut them out then inked them with Distress Inks. Some Glossy Accents was added to the heart to get a nice puffy look and Rock Candy Stickles was added to the word "love" for a subtle sparkle.

The "sunset" is created by inking the Rustic White cardstock with Mustard Seed, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks then adding water drops over the inked piece. The die cut Love is inked with Barn Door and Mustard Seed Distress Inks. The always and heart are from Group Hugs set. I also stamped the card front with a few of the candy images from Giddy Gumdrops set.

That's all from me. And sadly this is also my last card as a Paper Smooches SPARKS design team member. It has been super fun being on this amazing team. Big thanks to Kim, Savannah and all my fabulous teammates for making this experience so incredible. I love your ladies!! =)

Don't forget to find out what the other design team members came up with for this challenge. Here are the links:

Santa Peace

Happy Sunday, my friends! Hope you are having a lovely weekend! =) Here is a card that I made using a super fun image from my talented friend Jane.

You can find Santa Peace at Jane's Doodles along with other fabulous clear photopolymer and digital stamps. Or you can find them at Simon Says Stamp, too!

Mr. Santa Peace is printed on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then fuzzy cut out. You can kind of tell that he is a cool one, huh? =)

I really just want Mr. Santa Peace to be the focal point, so I kept the background pretty simple. I cut out a few snowflakes then covered them with Rock Candy Distress Stickles before adhering them to the card front. To make the paper pieced die cut sentiment, I cut patterned paper into thin strips then glued them down on a piece of thin cardstock before die cutting.

That's it for now. For more inspiration using Jane's Doodles stamps, please visit Jane's Doodles Blog! =)

Have a peaceful day and thanks for stopping by!

Krafty Girl Challenge #206

Happy Weekend, my friends! =) It's time for a new challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog! Here is what I created for this week's challenge.

This week's host is Deborah and the challenge theme is "Let it Snow!" I went with a shaker tag, but it can also easily be mounted on a card base. =)

I used Rachelle Anne Miller's Snow Wonder for my tag. The image is stamped on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then die cut with Tag Sale #8 die.

The patterned paper that I used to cut the shaker frame is from Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm 6x6 Paper Pad by American Crafts. The snow die cut and matching sentiment stamps are from Papertrey Ink. I covered the snow dic cut with Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter for some fun sparkle.

That's all for now. Don't forget to check out what the other Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests came up with for this challenge and see all the challenge details here. Hope you can join us this week! =)

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #121

Happy Friday, all! =) It's time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays! We have a fun new challenge this week!

There are eight letters in both thankful and Hanukkah (Hanukkah also has eight nights). Both Thanksgiving and Hanukkah start during this challenge, so we are honoring 8! Use eight letters, eight sequins or eight colors. Just use eight of anything on your clean and simple project for a chance to win! This is a two week challenge, so there is plenty of time to play along! =)

I decided to use eight encouraging sentiments from Paper Smooches's Group Hugs set with eight different ink colors for my card. Fun, no? =)

The patterned paper is from Amy Tangerine's Cut & Paste 6x6 Paper Pad by American Crafts.

This week's sponsor is Simon Says Stamp. Don't forget to find out what the other Girl Fridays came up with for this challenge and see all the challenge details here. Hope you can join us! =)

Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop!

Hi and welcome to Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop! If you arrived from Heidy's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, you can start the hop from Alexandra's Blog. You wouldn't want to miss any stop of this fun hop! =) Here is what I made for the hop.

This month's host is Alexandra and she challenged the team make a gift tag for the hop. This one was fun to make! =)

I decided to use North Pole Employee #5533 for my tag. He is printed on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then fuzzy cut out. Some Star Dust Stickles was added to the trims of his hat for a little shine.

The patterned paper that I used on the tag is from 'Tis the Season 6x6 Paper Pad by Echo Park. The sentiment is cut from Christmas Words die set by Paper Smooches. I layered a few pieces of the die cuts to create dimension and added Xmas Red Stickles on top to give it a sparkly finish.

That's all from me. It's time to send you to Vili's Blog. Don't forget to leave comments along the way, TWO lucky commenters will each receive a $5 gift certificate to use in Mo's Digital Pencil!

Have fun hopping and thanks for stopping by!

Bundle Up

Hello, all! Here is a card made using a super fun new stamp set from Purple Onion Designs.

I love Carolyn's whimsical hand drawn images and this set is so cute! She has a really cool blog, too. Go visit her! =)

I decided to use the sentiment as my focal point and stamped it in Hawaiian Shores. The rest of the images were stamped in Aqua Mist on a Stamper's Select White card base. I didn't want the "background" to overpower the sentiment, so only parts of each of the images were colored.

To help the sentiment stand out a little more, I colored the middle one with the matching red on the scarves and added White Enamel Accents to the top of the letters hoping to make them look like they have been snowed on. To finish, little bits of Star Dust Stickles was added to the snowflakes.

That's all for now. Don't forget to check out the latest carolyndraws collections and more winter/holiday new releases HERE! For more inspiration using stamps from Purple Onion Designs, please visit Purple Onion Designs Blog! =)
