We Totally Click

Hi ya, all! Here is a card that I made using yummy new stamps from Paper Smooches. =)

I knew I had to get the We Totally Click set when I saw the Polaroid camera image. How cute is that?

The image is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then die cut using a matching die. I cut a slit at the photo opening on the camera with a craft knife to insert the "photo." I trimmed a 1 1/4" x 2" piece of white cardstock and glued a piece of one inch square patterned paper on it to mimic the look of Polaroid film. The sentiment and heart are from the We Totally Click set as well.

The background paper is from Studio Calico's Marks & Co Card Kit and the camera journaling card is from My Mind's Eye included in Studio Calico's Double Scoop Project Life Kit. I added Glossy Accents to the camera lens and the heart for a little interest.

That's all for now. You can now find Paper Smooches stamps and dies at Inspiration Emporium! Don't forget to use discount code wonderland at check out to receive 10% off your entire order! =)

Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

Snow Globes

Hello, my friends! I thought I'd share a project that I created for Christmas. You have been warned, this is a photo heavy post! =)

It's Mason Jar Snow Globes! Yes, I finally gave it a try after seeing so many awesome examples on Pinterest. I totally failed at taking photos of them though, so please bear with me.

I got Tim Holtz Idea-ology Woodlands bottle brush trees and dyed the smaller one with Picked Raspberry and a little bit of Squeezed Lemonade re-inkers. The larger one is dyed with Peacock Feather + a bit of Squeezed Lemonade. You can find out how to die them from this video created by Elizabeth Kartchner.

The bases are made with cardboard. I cut several of them out to fit the sizes of the jars then just glue them together with Glossy Accents. They are then coated with Picket Fence Distress Paint. Before the paint had the chance to dry, I sprinkled Martha Stewart Chunky Glitter over then to mimic snow.

Glossy Accents is the only glue that I used for this project and it's holding up pretty well. I used it to glue the bases onto the jar lids, too. I held them together with my fingers until the Glossy Accents dried. It really didn't take long.

Once I decided that I'd make those snow globes, I tried to figure out what goes in the jars. I went through my box of miniature treasures and found the dog and the cat with his mousey toy and rug. It took me a long time to figure out what goes in with the dog. Nothing else that I have fit or made sense, so I made those mini chewing bones out of paper weight clay. I let them dry overnight, gave them a little color with Copic markers and tied three of them together with some baker's twine.

The kitty one was easier, but those mini gift boxes were a pain to "wrap!" They were also made from paper weight clay, after drying them overnight, I wrapped them with patterned paper from Lawn Fawn's Peace Joy Love 6x6 Petite Paper Pack.

After filling the jars with enough glitters to fill in the gaps around the bases, they were done! It was easier than I expected and I think I'll start keeping my eyes out for miniature figures that have the potential of going into those jars for future projects! =)

Thanks so much for sticking with me for this long post and hope you have a fabulous day! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, my friends! Hope you are all having a wonderful time with family and friends. I guess I'll post my last holiday card of the year to celebrate it! =)

I was inspired by Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #112. Here is the sketch.

This time I followed the sketch pretty closely and made a one layer card (if you don't count the twine). =)

I first stamped the bells from Wplus9's Silver Bells set, masked it then stamped Music Background from Hero Arts as the backdrop. I then stamped the wreath from Woodland Wreaths set over the bells to create the wreath that I had in mind. The bell image is then colored with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from Silver Bells set and I also added some shadow around the wreath with Copic markers to make it stand out from the background. This was a really fun one to make, hope you likey!

Have a fabulous Christmas, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Antiquary

Hello, my friends! =) Here is a card that I made using supplies from Studio Calico's Antiquary card kit.

I trimmed several patterned paper that came with the kit into thin strips, glued them on a piece of thin cardstock on a diagonal then die cut the hello from it.

In order for the hello to stand out, I decided to keep the background simple. So I pull out a stencil and my light modeling paste again! I really like the textures the paste created! =)

That's all for now. Have a fabulous day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #124

This is my second post of the day. Please click here or scroll down to see my post for Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop. Thanks! =)

Hello, my friends! It's time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays! Here is the new challenge theme.

Create a clean and simple New Years project for a chance to win! We are coming this new challenge with 10 Minute Craft Dash, so if you can make your New Years project in less than 10 minutes, you can link it up there, too! This is a two week challenge, so there is plenty of time to play along!

Well, I forgot to time mine, but I am thinking that this may be done in less than 10 minutes. =)

I used the funky stars from Exclamations set by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and embossed them in Ranger's Super Fine Detail Gold powder on PTI's shimmer cardstock. I was thinking that they look like fireworks in the night sky, does that make sense? =) The sentiment is from Countdown set also from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

That's all from me. Don't forget to find out what the other Girl Fridays created for this challenge and see all the challenge details here. Hope you can join us! =)

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop!

Hi and welcome to Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop! If you arrived from Heidy's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, you can start the hop from Anneke's Blog. You wouldn't want to miss any stop of this fun hop!

This month's host is Anneke and she challenge the team to create projects that use a senior person image.

I chose to color up this sweet one called Tom and Tilly. I think being able to grow old together with the person that you love is one of the nicest things, don't you think? =) The image is printed on Papertrey Ink's Rustic White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then trimmed to size. Some Glossy Accents was added to the flowers for a little interest.

The patterned paper is from Family Traditions 6x6 Paperpad Collection by Webster's Pages and the sentiment is from Beautiful Words set by Simon Says Stamp.

That's it from me. It's time to send you to Vili's Blog. Don't forget to leave comments along the way, TWO lucky commenters will each receive a $5 gift certificate to use in Mo's Digital Pencil!

Hello Friend

Hi ya, all! =) I am thrilled about this! It's a great honor that one of my cards is going to be displayed in Lawn Fawn's CHA booth! I wish I could be there to see it, but I don't think it's going to happen. If any of you are lucky enough to be there, could you do me a favor and take a photo of my card in the booth for me? It will be greatly appreciated! =) I have a fun card to share with you today.

I once again used the multi inked greetings (see the video by Jennifer McGuire here) technique.

The fun sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Hello Friend set and the patterned paper is from Into the Woods 6x6 Petite Paper Pack. I trimmed them into 5/8" strips and glued them on diagonal on the card front.

That's all for now. Have a happy day, my friends! =)

December Krafty Hop!

Happy Sunday, every one! It's release day over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and we are celebrating it with a Krafty Hop! This month KK is releasing two lovely fairytale inspired sets by Cheryl Anger called Once Upon A Time 1 and Once Upon A Time 2. There is the sweet baby theme set - A Mother's Love by Thais Narciso. Rachelle Anne Miller created the super cut boy set - Great Adventures and Annie came up with the sassy Hey, Hot Stuff! set. All the new stamps are available starting NOW in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Store! Before you go shopping, here are my cards for the hop. =)

First up is the other image from Annie's Hey, Hot Stuff! set. I sure hope that it was a good news that caused her to spill her coffee! =)

She is stamped on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then die cut using a Tipped Tops die from PTI.

The patterned paper and embellishment are from Studio Calico's Antiquary Card Kit. The sentiment comes with the Hey, Hot Stuff! set.

I inked up the boy in the space shuttle image from RAM's Great Adventures set for my second card.  Isn't he adorable? =)

The image is stamped on Simon Says Stamp's Ultra Thick White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then die cut and trimmed to size. All the stars are covered with Star Dust Stickles for a little shine.

The patterned paper is from Rough & Tumble 6x6 Paper Pad by Carta Bella. This is a perfect paper pad for boy projects, I tell ya! The sentiment is included in the Great Adventures set.

December Krafty Peeks Day 4

Happy Weekend, all! =) It's Day 4 of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps December release preview. We are sharing projects made using the super duper cute Great Adventures set by Rachelle Anne Miller today.

We are also combining today's peek with this week's challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge Blog. This week's hostess is Yours Truly and the challenge theme is "Anything Goes!" Easy Peasy, right? =)

I chose to ink up this adorable pirate boy from RAM's new set. He is stamped on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then trimmed to size.

The patterned paper is from Rough & Tumble 6x6 Paper Pad by Carta Bella. To add a bit of interest, I used the scallop border die from Paper Smooches Border 1 die set to create the fun border for the patterned paper. Isn't that piece of patterned paper just perfect for this image? =) The sentiment comes with the Great Adventures set.

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!
