Mara

Hello, all! Here is a card that I made using a lovely image from Mo's Digital Pencil.

I was wondering if both of her puppies are stuffed animals or one of them is real. =)

The patterned paper is from Printshop 6x6 Paper Pad by Studio Calico and the sentiment is cut using Say It Hello die from Technique Tuesday.

That's all for now. For more inspiration using images from Mo's Digital Pencil, please visit Mo's Dream Team Blog! =)

Party Hardy

Hi ya, all! I finally got around to play with February's Poppy Sketch. Here is a look of the sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch.

It is a fun sketch to follow and I gave it a twist of my own. =)

The image that I used is called Party Hardy by Saturated Canary. You can find the digital version here, or the rubber stamp version here at Simon Says Stamp. I printed the image on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored it with Copic markers then trimmed it to fit the polaroid frame. Some Glossy Accents was added to the image to add a little dimension.

The patterned paper is from Heidi Swapp's Serendipity 6x6 Paper Pack by Pink Paislee. The sentiment is a combination of Papertrey Ink's die cut and BasicGrey's micro alphabet stickers. They are also coated with Rock Candy Distress Stickles for a little sparkle.

That's all for now. Have a happy day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Papertry Ink February Blog Hop Challenge

Hello, my friends! I am playing along with Papertrey Ink's February Blog Hop Challenge. Here is the challenge theme for the blog hop.

Here is my card.

I was inspired by Danielle Flanders' watercolor & stamping post.

I first used watercolor on the "backs" of the stamps from Circle Scribbles set then stamped the positives with matching PTI inks.

The images are stamped on watercolor paper then mounted on a kraft card base with foam tape. The sentiment is from Bold Bouquet Anniversary Set.

That's all from me. You can find the links to all the participants of the blog hop here! =)

Big Hugs

Happy Monday, all! I made a card for CAS(E) this Sketch #65. Here is the sketch.

Here is my take on it.

It's a more liberal take of the sketch, but I had fun playing with my new goodies from Simon Says Stamp.

The sentiment is cut using the Big Hugs die. I inked an extra die cut with Sea Glass ink and offset it to create the shadow look. The sentiment is also coated with Rock Candy Distress Stickles for a little interest.

The background is inked using the Gradated Blocks stencil with Festive Berries, Ripe Persimmon, Lemon Yellow and Sea Glass inks. After layering Hero Arts Lemon Yellow and Simon Says Sea Glass, you get that yummy apple greenish color. That's the sort of happy accident that we all love, right? =)

That's all I have. Have a fantastic day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop! If you arrived from Heidy's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, you can start the hop from Kaly's Blog. You wouldn't want to miss any stop of this fun hop!

The host for this mont's blog hop is Kaly and she challenged the team to make a card using teen images and dark colors. I went with as much dark colors as I could, but couldn't help adding pops of bright pink! =)

The image that I used is called Jamming Janice. She is printed on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then trimmed to size.

Instead of patterned paper, I decided to "decorate" the image with washi tape. The sentiment is from For the Record set by Simon Says Stamp.

That's all from me, it's time to send you to Vili's Blog. Don't forget to leave comments along the way, TWO lucky commenters will each receive a $5 gift certificate to used at Mo's Digital Pencil! =)

CAS-ual Fridays #128

Happy Friday, my friends! =) It's time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays! Here is this week's challenge.

Create a clean and simple card that is long or tall (2" x 4" or 6"x 4" etc.). This should be fun, huh? =) Here is my card.

I went with a long card that measures 7 3/4" x 3 1/2". Since I only use 6x6 paper now, cards this size is perfect to use up the bits and strips of scraps.

The patterned paper is from Be Loved 6x6 paper pad by Fancy Pants Designs. To add to the "random" look, the card front is splattered with Picket Fence Distress Paint. The sentiment is from Life is a Journey set by Simon Says Stamp. I also added Glossy Accents to a few of the hearts on the patterned paper to add a little texture and interest.

That's all for now. This week's sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. This is also my last card as a Girl Friday. It has been a super fun year for me. I joined the team intend to sharpen my CAS skill, while I am not sure if I am any better at it, I sure had lots and lots of fun. Thank you so much for allowing me on your incredibly talented team, Michelle! You are an awesome team boss! =)

Don't forget to find out what the other Girl Fridays created for this challenge and see all the challenge details here!

Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!
