Jackson & Bubbles

Hi ya, all! Here is another card made using stamps from Stacey Yacula's super cute A Beautiful Day collection for Purple Onion Designs.

It looks like Mr. Little Bear is having a lot of fun, don't you think? =)

Jackson & Bubbles are stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock. I then masked Jackson and stamped the Birch Tree Background over him and proceeded to stamp the flowers from Flowers & Hush set on the grass for the little scene. All the images are then colored with Copic markers then die cut using a Tipped Tops die from Papertrey Ink.

The patterned paper is from Lawn Fawn's Hello Sunshine 6x6 Petite Paper Pack. The happy die is from Papertrey Ink and the "day" die is from Simon Says Stamp. I also coated the bubbles and flowers with Glossy Accents for a little fun texture and interest.

That's all for now. For more inspirations using stamps from Purple Onion Designs, please visit Purple Onion Designs Blog! =)

Hugs!

Hello, all! Here is another card for Inspiration Journal's May Monthly Challenge.

May's challenge theme is Celebrate! and I am celebrating friendship with this little number. And yes, more watercoloring, too! =)

The adorable hedgehogs from Penny Black's Hugs! set is stamped with Coffee Archival ink on watercolor paper, the image is then colored with watercolor pencils.

I once again used the watercolor + stencil technique that Mr. Tim Holtz demonstrated in the Watercolor for Card Makres Online Card Classes for the background. This time I used Hero Arts Tweed Pattern stencil with Bundled Sage, Tattered Rose and Wild Honey Distress Inks. The "sweet" stamp is from Paper Smooches Giddy Gumdrops set and the Friend Word die is from Paper Smooches as well.

That's all for now. Don't forget to link up your projects here for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use in the Inspiration Emporium Store. You can always use discount code wonderland at check out to receive 10% off your entire order when you shop in the Inspiration Emporium Store! =)

Shadow on Blossoming Perch

Happy Monday, every one! =) Here is more watercolored card for you! This time I used super cute stamps from Purple Onion Designs.

Watercoloring is pretty addictive, I have to say. Or it's probably the mentality of "oh! I can do better!" that makes me wanting to do it more. =)

I stamped the adorable Shadow on the Blossoming Perch with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and colored the whole panel with watercolor.

Once again, to keep the colored image as the center of attention, I kept the background/design relatively simple. The Wonderful Words: Hello Die is from Papertrey Ink and it's coated with Rock Candy Distress Stickles for a little interest.

That's all for now. For more inspirations using stamps from Purple Onion Designs, please visit Purple Onion Designs Blog! =)

Make a Wish

Hi ya, all! More homework bombardment! =) Another striped background for Watercolor for Card Makers Online Card Classes.

I love making those stripe backgrounds! It's therapeutical! =)

Here is the first layer of the stripes. After this dried completely, I added more color washes in-between the stripes for the layered look.

The fabulous script sentiment and stars are from Mama Elephant's Make a Wish set. After stamping, I traced them with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen for a little sparkle.

That's all for now. Have happy day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs!

Hello, every one! =) Here is another homework for Watercolor for Card Makers Online Card Classes as well as for May Monthly Challenge over at Inspiration Journal.

The amazing Tim Holtz demonstrated a fun watercolor background using distress inks and stencils on Day 11 of the class and I had to try it! May's challenge theme over at Inspiration Journal is Celebrate! And I think this card can be a celebration of friendship and/or love! =)

The image is from Penny Black's Hugs! transparent set. It's stamped on watercolor paper and colored with watercolor pencils.

I used Tim Holtz' Stripes Layering Stencil with Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmons, Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean Distress Inks to create the background. The Love Word die is from Paper Smooches and is coated with Rock Candy Distress Stickles for a little shine.

That's all for now. Don't forget to submit your projects here for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use in the Inspiration Emporium Store. You can always use discount code wonderland at check out when you shop in the Inspiration Emporium Store to receive 10% off your entire order! =)

Sunflower Bouquet

Hello, all! Here is my (failed) attempt of achieving Sanketi's stunning watercolor effect with a stamped image from Day 5 of the Watercolor for Card Makers Online Card Classes.

That's the day that I realized that I don't have much talent in watercoloring. Really, you should go and check out Sanketi's mesmerizing works of art! I'll retreat to my corner and try to do better next time...

The beautiful image is from Papertrey Ink's Sunflower Bouquet set. I stamped it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the smooth side of the watercolor paper then proceeded to color it with watercolor.

To keep the image at the center of the attention, I kept the design really simple. The sentiment is from Keep It Simple: Thank You set also by Papertrey Ink.

That's all for now. Have a beautiful day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Bobby

Hello, my friends! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! =) Here is a card made using a few lovely stamps from Purple Onion Designs A Beautiful Day collection.

This is also one of my homework for Watercolor for Card Makers Online Card Classes.

The Blooms background is stamped using Vintage Photo Distress Ink and colored with watercolor pencils. Little Bobby is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then fussy cut out.

The card base is stamped with the versatile Wood Grain Background and the hello die is from Lawn Fawn. I die cut a few pieces of the sentiment and glued them together for dimension. It is then coated with Rock Candy Distress Stickles for a little sparkle.

Every Which Way

Happy Friday, my friends! =) Here is a card for Day 5 & 6 homework of the Watercolor for Card Makers Online Card Classes.

Day 5 & 6 of the class focused on watercoloring stamped images.

I stamped the adorable hedgehogs from Penny Black's Every Which Way set with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and colored them with watercolor. Since Vintage Photo reacts with water, the lines smudged and bled a little. I sort of wanted to see what it would look like and didn't mind the look. If you don't want the smudged lines, you can use waterproof inks like Ranger's Archival Inks.

Inspired by a card created by Kristina Werner, I used a pencil to draw the cloud border and hand cut it out. The sentiment is from Wonderful set also by Penny Black.

That's all for now. Have a wonderful day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to Mo's Digital Pencil Monthly Blog Hop! If you arrived from Heidy's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, you can start the hop from Gretha's Blog. This is going to be a fun hop and I am sure you wouldn't want to miss any stop of the hop! =) Here is my card for the hop.

This month's host is Gretha and she challenged the team to use ribbon(s) on our projects. I only realized that I haven't used ribbons on my cards for a little while when I was making this card. How did that happen? Here I used some ribbon bits to decorate the button.

The image that I used is called Birthday Princess and she is printed on Papertrey Ink's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored with Copic markers then die cut to size. Glossy Accents and Diamond Stickles were added to a few places on the image for some interest.

The patterned paper is from Studio Calico's Lemon Lush 6x6 Paper Pad and the sentiment is from Group Hugs set by Paper Smooches. After stamping the sentiment, I traced it with my Clear Wink of Stella Brush Pen, because a princes deserves all the sparkle she can get! =)

That's all from me. It's time to send you to Vili's Blog! Don't forget to leave comments along the way. TWO lucky winners will each receive a $5 gift certificate to use in Mo's Digital Pencil! Have fun hopping and good luck! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi ya, all! Here is one more homework for Day 1 of the super fun Watercolor for Card Markers Online Card Classes as well as for Cure for Monday Blues Challenge #17.

Yes, I am stuck on Day 1 and Day 2 of the class! It was super fun making this background, I couldn't help myself! =) Here is the inspiration photo/theme for Cure for Monday Blues Challenge #17.

Those bright springy colors are just too sweet!

To make the background, I created a few really thin washes of watercolor and laid them down in stripes on the watercolor panel. After the first layer have dried, I laid down another layer of color washes to create the layered stripes. The hello die is from Simon Says Stamp and it's coated with Rock Candy Distress Stickles for a little sparkle.

The patterned paper is from Family Traditions 6x6 Paperpad Collection by Webster's Pages and the sentiment is from A Beautiful Day Sentiment Set.
