tailor-made Kelly Owl and Scrapbook Expo!!
This year I was excited to go! Maybe it's because I am making more cards and scrapbook pages that made me want to see and look for new products. Or it's just another excuse for me to shop!
In a Hero Arts discussion board on Wednesday, Kelly told me that she was planning on being there, so we worked out our schedule and I met Kelly at the Expo yesterday!!!
She was so nice!! I love her big, sweet smile. She also kindly told me a couple of great places to shop for stamps around the area! Thanks so much Kelly!
When I knew that I might have a chance to meet Kelly at the Expo, I wanted to make her something. I knew that she must have most of the Hero Arts stamps already and I didn't want to give her anything that she doesn't like or she already has. The gift idea that I came up with is this:
Yes, it's a Kelly Owl. I made this hand stitched owl keychain using the Big Owl stamp from Hero Arts for her. The colors are the lovely brights that Kelly is so great at putting together on all of her projects. And how can I make a Kelly Owl without a headpiece? Those cute headpieces are one of Kelly's signature style, so I just had to put it on! Hope you like it Kelly!!
Here is a card I made for her with two of the Hero Arts free digital kits.
I was a really happy girl yesterday. Not only did I get to shop and I also get to meet the awesome Kelly!! I also saw the wonderful cards that she made for a card contest for the event and will eventually be sent to the troops overseas in person! They are just amazing!!
Thanks for adjusting your schedule to meet me Kelly. I was so so happy to meet you.
