a card with penguins

It's the Celebration of Learning week at Hero Arts blog. This is also a week showcasing some awesome creations from the new Hero Arts Hostesses! Please hop over and check out what those talented girls made for this week's challenge.

One of the things that I learned very recently is definitely on how to incorporate traditional stamps with digital elements. Thanks to the release of Hero Arts Digital kits another creative window has opened up for me.

I knew that digital scrapbooking has existed for a while, but I've been resisting it for as long as I could. Now that Hero Arts has some of their gorgeous stamps made into digital, I just have to try them out. And it has been such a fun journey!!

I used the snowflake from the Decorate Your Own clear set with VersaMark and chalk to create the background. I also cut the little hats from the bird and the cute penguin in the same set to put on the digi - penguins. I put some light shadows on the penguins with Copic markers as well. All the sentiments are traced with some Diamond Stickles.

ingredients used:
cardstocks: Papertrey Ink
stamps: Hero Arts, Hero Arts Digital
patterned papers: Cosmo Cricket
trim: Webster's Pages
ink: Memento
marders: Copic
chalk: EK Success
glitter glue: Stickles by Ranger
black pen: ZIG

Thanks for stopping by!
