it was a surprise!!! + a little more...
I am still trying to let the news sink in.... If you have seen this post over at the Hero Arts Blog, you were probably as surprised as I was. I mean I have dreamed about winning this contest, but I have never thought that it would really happen to me! Especially after Kathy, Jenn, Vanessa and Fika have been chosen, I thought that I'd better get ready for the next Win-a-Day Contest. Then in came Kelly's phone message that informed me that I was the "surprise" that Tami was teasing about at Hero's Flickr Group!!!
I am (still!!) so happy and honored to be chosen by the sweet and talented Tami Hartley to work with her on the Hero Arts blog for a day. I am looking forward to it and I can't wait to see what the other winners come up with for their days, too!
Here is a mini card and envelope that I made to say "Thank You" to Hero Arts and Tami for this special surprise. I used the adorable doll from the newly released You're the Best Sparkle Clear set.
The digital paper that I used for the rest of the card is from a digital set called Tiny Princess from The Digichick. I am also so happy to announce that I was invited to join the Design Team of The Hybrid Chick, a division of The Digichick. I am joining a group of inspiring artists that will be creating hybrid projects using the fabulous digital and hybrid kits that you can find at The Digichick Boutique.
The envelope is from a kit called Hybrid Helpers - Gifting. I printed out a tan color envelope from this kit and used it as a template for cutting my envelope using papers from the Tiny Princess kit. This has to be one of the sweetest set of digital papers I have ever seen!! =)
Thanks so much again to Hero Arts and Tami for this happy surprise and I am sure I will have lots of fun working with Tami! =)
