Reading Adventures & Cute Pirate Kids
Happy Sunday!! I have a couple of hybrid cards to share with you today.
I used Kerry Stewart's beautiful Reading Adventureskit to make this card. This hot air balloon scene is from one piece of digital paper. I resized and trimmed it to the size that I wanted. I also pop doted an extra set of hot air balloons and text cloud (too cute!) on top.
I curled the sides of the hot air balloons to get a more realistic dome shape. To finish it, I hand stitched a matching border around the card. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. Kerry's kit is available separately. You can find the papers hereand the extras here and the full kit here.
I used another piece of patterned paper from Kerry's kitfor the background on my second card. I thought that this background is perfect for a "dream big" card.
The adorable little pirate girl is from Holly Brooke Jones' Cute Pirate Kids Stickers. There is also a boy pirate in the kit. They both come in black & white and pre-colored, just in case you don't like to color! The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

That's all for today. Hope you have a fabulous Sunday!! =)

Awesome coloring and the curled edges of the hot air balloon is nice idea! It's realistic. Really! :)
