Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #34
This is my second post of the day. Please click here or scroll down to see the release and peek for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps February Release. Thanks!
It's time for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. First is the sketch:
Here is my card:
I think this might be a good wedding card. What do you think? The pears from the Peace and Plenty set are colored with distress inks and a water brush on watercolor paper. I think I used crushed olive, scattered straw and mustard seed for the pear bodies. Walnut stain, vintage photo, forest moss and bundled sage were used for the stems and leaves.
I used a big acrylic block as my palette and just smashed (??) my ink pads on it and picked up the colors from the acrylic block. For the background, I inked tattered rose on the acrylic block, spritzed it with lots of water then used a big paint brush to cover the watercolor paper background with the fainter color.

The beautiful ornate border from the Victorian Fripperie set is stamped using tattered rose. The sentiment panel is made using the watercolor paper-dragging-over-a-ink-pool technique. =) The sentient is from the Fancy Phrases set.
You can use any stamps you want for the challenge, but we would love it if you can use Waltzingmouse Stamps! Please go to the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge Blog to see what the other Mischief Makers came up with and check out all the details for the challenge.
Hope you can join us this week!
Have a fabulous weekend, my friends! =)
