Leaf Prints & Life of Party
Hi all! Have you gotten your copy of Stamp It! Cards magazine? It's full of amazing inspirations from cover to cover. Get your copy here.
I was lucky enough to have a card published in this issue. I am thrilled that my first ever published card is a Hero Arts card! =) Here is my humble little number in the sympathy section:
The leaves are from the beautiful Leaf Prints set and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Round & Round set. So glad to say that I am not a "one card wonder." =) The funny thing is that almost all of my cards that were picked up for publication are more in the clean and simple category. I don't know why, maybe I have split personality? LOL! I rarely get to do CAS for my blog, but I certainly had fun making them for publication calls. =)
Moxie Fab World is hosting a Stamp It! Cards Week Challenge where stamping should be the predominant element of your cards. Here is my card for the challenge.
You may have guessed, this is a reject from the 2012 Jan/Feb call, but I thought it fits the challenge criteria. I clear embossed the super fun Life of Party Words background (thank you, Joy!) then inked the piece with broken china, shabby shutters, rusty hinge and barn door distress inks. The ticket stamps and die are from Papertrey Ink.
Since I used some party blowouts on my card, I thought that I'd submit this to Hero Arts monthly challenge over at the Hero Arts Blog. The challenge theme this month is Summertime & Parties. I attached the blowouts with baker's twine so that you can pull them out and party with them! =) Also, since there is heat embossing involved, I want to let you know that the challenge this month over at the Inspiration Journal is Texture It. Add textures to your projects with embossing (dry or wet) and enter for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to spend in the Inspiration Emporium store!
Ok, that seems like a lot of information, but I am sure I am done for now. Hope you have a fantastic day! =)
Thanks for stopping by!
