Little Elf Finn
Happy Sunday, all! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I was invited to make a card for the month long holiday card showcase at Scrap RDV and here is the card that I made using a lovely image from Mo's Digital Pencil.
He is cute, no? =) I love using Mo's elves for holiday cards! Please go to this post to see the sketch that I created. If you made a card using the sketch, please let me know. I would love to see it. =)
Little Elf Finn is printed on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, cut and embossed using a Labels Two die then colored with Copic markers. The sentiment piece is cut and embossed using a Petite Ovals Small die. I added some Sugar Sparkly Fluff to the fluffy trims of his outfit. You can also find Finn as a rubber stamp here at Penny Black.
A friend asked if I color my images first or pick patterned paper first. Here is my answer to the question. I always pick the image that I want to (or need to) work with first then figure out which paper collection goes well with it. I then color the image to match the colors in the paper collection that I have chosen as best I can. Hope this helps. =) The patterned paper I used for this card is from 12 Days of Christmas 6x6 Designer Paper Pad by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.
That's it for now. For more inspirations using images from Mo's Digital Pencil, please visit Mo's Dream Team Blog.
