Pocket Watch and Delivery Benton
Hello, my friends! =) I have two very different projects to share with you today. This first project was a design team challenge for the Inspiration Team from... two months ago. I know! So sorry that I haven't had the chance to share it until now. Hanging head in shame...
The challenge was to use the Pocket Watch from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology collection. I didn't think I'd be able to participate since I don't really do grungy and when it comes to Tim's collection, grungy is the first thing that came to mind. But I tried and made this Spring-y and girly pocket watch. HA!
I cut a circle from Rustic Cream cardstock and stamped the script, flourishes and sentiment from Birds of A Feather set by Artistic Outpost on it using second generation Tea Dye, Barn Door and first generation Walnut Stain distress inks respectively. I then added a couple of mini rosebuds and punched mini flowers and butterfly to add to the Spring theme. Some Diamond Dust was added for some sparkle and interest. The pocket watch is then brushed with Pearl Paint Dabber and finished with a few dyed seam binding and a mulberry paper rose.
My second project is a card in my usual style. No surprise here. =)
I used the super sweet Benton from Delivery Benton set for my card. He is colored on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock with Copic markers then cut and embossed using a Labels 12 die. The sentiment piece is cut and embossed using a Classic Ovals Small die.
The pattered paper is from This & That Graceful 6x6 Paper Pad by Echo park and the sentiment comes with Delivery Benton set.
That's all for now. This month's challenge over at Inspiration Journal happens to be Flowers, so link up your flower projects over here for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use at Inspiration Emporium. You can also receive 10% off your entire purchase when you use discount code "wonderland." =)
Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!
