Happy New Year!

Happy 2014, my friends! =) Do you set new year's resolutions for the coming year? I stopped doing that a long time ago knowing that I'd never follow it. Lol! I just do as I go, so hopefully this will be a fun year! =)

You know I'd have to celebrate the first day of the new year with a card, right? =)

The card base is created by using Simon Says Stamp's Peppermint Stripe stencil with Wendy Vecchi's Metallic Gold Embossing Paste. It was my first time trying this paste. It was a runnier paste, although it doesn't create as thick of a textured look, it gives a very nice shiny metallic look.

The patterned paper that I used to cut the sentiments are from Chic Tags included in Simon Says Stamp's Elegant Holiday Card Kit. The stars die cuts are coated with Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter for extra sparkle.
