Home Is Where the Heart is & Art on Wings 01
Happy Sunday! I have a couple of hybrid cards made using new digital releases at Two Peas to share with you.
I used Home Is Where the Heart Is created by Shelley Castillo for this card. This digital set comes with beautiful patterned papers with lovely and some cozy colors. I enlarged the house from one of the papers and cut it out to use as my focal point. I inked all the paper edges with rusty hinge, victorian velvet and peeled paint according to their colors. The hearts were punched using scraps from cutting the pink heart paper then inked with aged mahogany. I know aged mahogany isn't a new color, but I just got it recently and it's a gorgeous rich red. YUM! =)
I used three of Vinnie Pearce's kits for this second card, but only the butterflies are from her new kit - Art On Wings 01. I used patterned papers from Vinnie's gorgeous Old Things kit and the script is from the Old Text 01 kit. I distressed all the paper edges and inked them with aged mahogany, tea dye and stormy sky according to their colors then added the machine stitching. The sentiment is from the PTI's fillable frames #2.
Courtney is showing some cards made using Practicing Creativity's May release. Don't forget to stop by her blog to check it out! The new stamp set will be available on May 6th!
Hope you all have a happy Sunday, my friends! =)
