Posy

Happy Hump Day, my friends! Here is a non-card for you! =)

I pulled Posy out from the colored stack (patting self on back...) and made this quick gift holder. This week's challenge over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog is Anything But a Card and I thought it would be fun to make a little holder for my crochet flowers. (Sorry that I couldn't get the lights right in a couple of my photos, the real colors are closer to the photo below.)

This is really easy to make and anyone can make this in less than 10 minutes. Here is how: Cut a piece of patterned paper measuring 4" x 10". Score the piece (I use this scoring tool and love it!) along the long side at 4", 5" and 9". Fold on the scored lines and there you have it! A match book style little treat/gift holder! You can easily adjust the measurements to fit the sizes of your treats.

You can decorate it however you want. I chose to die cut a circle on the back side and used that side as my front. LOL! Is this confusing? Here is a photo showing you what I was talking about.

The reason I did that is that I am too lazy to tie and untie the ribbon every time I want to get to the treats. LOL! The ribbon bow is really just for the look. I figured I could just slide the little bag of crochet flowers in and out from the side opening easily, so there was no need for a real "opening" on top.

The patterned paper that I used for the gift holder is from American Crafts' yummy Dear Lizzy collection. This week's challenge over at Quixotic Challenges is Let Your Garden Grow. I used my handmade crochet flowers on my project, so I think it qualifies me for the challenge!

That's all for today. Hope you have a lovely day! =)

Thanks for stopping by!
