2 Sketches 4 You - Laura's Sketch 55

Happy Monday, my friends!! Thanks for joining me for a card for 2 Sketches 4 You. Here is Laura's Sketch 55:

Here is my card:

See the beautiful background? That's stamped using the Very Square set from Mint Motif. Mint Motif is also the sponsor for this week.

I trimmed cardstock to little squares then stamped the background using PTI's dark chocolate ink. I then tiled them on the mat. After stamping the other pattern, also from the Very Square set, with tumbled glass I punched them out using a Stampin' Up punch. I then added the buttons and sentiment before pop dotting them over the background panel. The sentiment is from the Very Square Sentiments set also by Mint Motif. I love the beautiful patterns that came in the Very Square set!

That's all I have for today. Hope you will have a chance to play along with us this week at 2 Sketches 4 You.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Little Hi

Happy Sunday, my friends! =) I have a boy-ish (?) card to share with you today.

This adorable image is called Little Hi by Rich Davis available at Squigglefly. How could I not love that little guy sitting on top of the flower thing-y? You all know I couldn't resist cute things. =)

The patterned papers that I used are from Cosmo Cricket's the Boyfriend collection. A very sweet lady shared this paper pad with me and I love it!! Thank you so much! You know who you are and you know I love ya!! =) I think the background looks a bit like stars and thought that it would be fun with the image. I used the Fiskars Apron Lace Border Punch for the yellow piece.

I am also proud to announce that I will be joining Squigglefly's design team starting July. I'll have more chance to share cards made using many more wonderful digital stamps from Squigglefly with you.

Do you know that Squigglefly has a rewards program? Here are the details:

The rewards program is a simple thing you sign up for and it tracks how much you spend at Squigglefly. For every $15.00 you spend you can pick a free image - there are no restrictions on the free image you choose either - you can even pick sets! You can let your points build up until you're ready to use them. Also, if you join the rewards program in the middle of the month and you've already bought images during the month - just write Squigglefly and let them know and they will credit what you spent in the same month toward your rewards!
Another little thing you might not know - if your computer crashes and you haven't backed up your images - contact Squigglefly and they will look up your purchases and send your download links to you again!

That's all for today. Hope you have a beautiful Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Garden Party & Tea Party, Pretty as a Picture

Hi all! I have a couple of hybrid cards made using new digital kits released at Two Peas to share with you.

I made this card using the pretty patterned papers from Betsy Tuma's Garden Party Patterns kit. These happy and cheery colors are perfect for any summer projects.

I used the adorable doll and cake from My Cute Stamps' super cute Tea Party set as my focal point. The sentiment is from PTI's Butterfly Dreams.

The tiny butterflies were punched with some scraps using Martha Stewart Crafts' 3-in-1 Butterfly Craft Punch and the grass was punched with this punch.

My second card is made using the beautiful patterned papers from Stacy Marks' Pretty as a Picture Paper Kit. I adore this newspaper ad paper and decided to keep this card simple to showcase the papers in this kit. I distressed the edges then inked the paper with tea dye and vintage photo to make it look like an old ad page. The sentiment is from this Hero Arts stamp set.

Hope you will have a chance to check out all the new digital releases at Two Peas here!

That's all I have for now. Hope you have a fantastic weekend! =)

Happy Friday, my friends!! Thanks for joining me for another card for Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge! Here is this week's sketch:

I used this adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil called Bye-Bye for my card. She is so cute and I love her ladybug backpack!! I was thinking about a going away card when I made this.

I paired her with My Mind's Eye's lovely Be Loved collection. I inked the edges of the image with some tea dye very lightly to make it match the cream color on the patterned paper. The sentiment is from PTI's Beyond Basic Borders set.

This week's sketch is also the Prize Party Sketch. Taylor will pick a cutest entry to receive a free stamp set from the Taylored Expressions Store! The deadline to enter is Thursday, July 1st at 10pm PST. Hope you will have a chance to play along!!

I used the adorable snail in the Little Forest Friends set from My Cute Stamps. The sun and bee are from Holly Brooke Jones' adorable digital kit - Fun in the Sun Drawings. I adore that bee!! Elesaur is from me. So, really, Elesaur is not aggressive at all if he is only slightly bigger than the snail... =) The sentiment is from this set by Hero Arts.

The grid cloud background is from Boutique Cute Dolls' adorable Yum! Yum! kit and the pink heart base is from the Bliss kit also from Boutique Cute Dolls. The green dotty paper is from PTI's Pretty Pastels and punched with this punch.

June CCC

I participated in Deborah's June Card Chain Challenge and here is the beautiful card that I received from Cassandra Tramm.

Isn't this a beauty? I love the colors she used and that crepe paper flower is gorgeous!!! Cassandra generously sent me the link of how to make the flower, I thought that I would share it with you, too. Here is the link. Thank you so much, Cassandra! =)

Here is the card that I sent to Joy (dustypenny):

I used the sketch that Deborah provided for the challenge and the color layering technique to make my card. I mirrored the sketch to fit my main image.

I first stamped Friend Definition with tea dye on the vintage cream cardstock. I then layered the flower images from Elegant Weeds first using victorian velvet and shabby shutters, then with aged mahogany and crushed olive. The butterflies from Antique Engravings were then stamped using wild honey and rusty hinge. The sentiment is from this set. I also submitted this card to the challenge over at the Hero Arts Blog.

Hope you will have a chance to join and play along with Deborah's Card Chain Challenge. It's a wonderful way to make friends all over the world through this hobby that we all love!! Thanks for your beautiful card, Cassandra. I love it! Big thanks to Deborah for hosting this fun and rewarding challenge! =)

Hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

I first stamped the Garden Mouse image on the digital paper then colored and cut out one more image to pop dot it on top of the first one. The sentiment is from this set by Hero Arts.

Fathom Calmsea & cat hammock

Happy Sunday! I have a card and something fun to share! =)

First is a card that I made for the Cracked Glass challenge over at the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge Blog. I was lucky enough to win this little beauty from one of Amy Young's (she is the talented artist that created her!) pre-release sneak peek giveaways.

Her name is Fathom Calmsea. Isn't that a beautiful name? It's such a pretty image and it's so fun to color. I also adore her little sea house friend that came with the stamp. His name is Lio.

Everything on my card was from the card kit that Amy included in my candy. I tell ya, that girl knows how to put together a fabulous card kit!! Thank you so much for the candy, Amy! I love it! =) You can find all of Amy's fabulous stamps at All That Scraps.

Here is a little fun photo for ya:

We made a hammock for our cats using PVC pipe and canvas. It's really easy to make and very inexpensive. We made it big intending to have both of our cats resting on it, but it's obvious that Mr. Stripey (Jamie) here is a giant... Well, at least he likes it and is really relaxed. Shhh... don't tell him that I posted this embarrassing photo of him! =)

Hope you have a happy Sunday!
