SCRS 1st Anniversary Throwback Challenge

Hi all! Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps is celebrating their 1st Anniversary this month and there will be lots of festivities going on. First up is the 1st Anniversary Throwback Challenge.

Here is my card for the challenge.

The challenge is to use one of the original 8 stamps (Charlotte with a Rose, Cocktail Emily, Cupcake Ruby, Lantern Rin, Scooter Chloe, Surfing Oliver, Swimming Lucy, Turntable Josh) for your cards. This challenge will run all month and the winner of this challenge will receive the ENTIRE August release. How cool is that? Can't wait to see what you make for this challenge!

I used the beautiful Charlotte with a Rose for my card. She is definitely one of my all time favorites. I know her apron and headscarf my look "dirty," but they are really intended to be light grey-ish. =) She is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock. The image is then colored with Copic markers before I cut and embossed it using a Labels 18 die.

I then masked Charlotte using this masking paper and stamped Hero Arts Friend Definition over the piece. The whole piece is then inked with antique linen distress ink. The patterned paper is from Out of Print collection by BasicGrey, I can only tell you that this collection is a must have! Yummy! =) The heart tag and sentiment are from Tiny Tags by Papertrey Ink.

That's it for now. Please check out what the other design team members came up with for this challenge and find out all the details for the challenge here.

Oh! Here is the special sale that SCRS is running this month:

Hope you can join us for the festivities in the coming days! =)

Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

Gone Fishing...

Hi all! I am sharing a card that I made for Super Sketch #86 over at the PWCO Blog.

I used one of my all time favorite images illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miler for my card. It's called Gone Fishin... I just adore cute Mr. Bear. =)

The image is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock then colored with Copic markers. It's then cut and embossed using a Petite Ovals Small die. The sentiment piece is made the same way using the smallest die from the same die set.

The patterned paper is from Lime Twist Fly A Kite collection by My Mind's Eye. I used the fun Scallops On The Edge border die on the dot paper for some interest. The sentiment is from the Friends set by Hero Arts.

That's all I have. Hope you have a fantastic day! =)

Hello everyone! Hope your week is going well so far. It rained here in the Bay Area on Tuesday. Yeah, raining in late June. Really? Very strange weather. And we are expecting a heat wave come this weekend. Well, just hope I won't melt this time... =)

Anyhoo, here is a card that I made for Whiff of Joy Tutorials & Inspirastion Blog. I made a simple tutorial on how I made my watercolor background with distress inks. Please see the tutorial here.

I used Henry Hugging Heart for my sample card. This little guy is just darling! =)

Henry is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock then colored with Copic markers. The watercolor piece is cut using the Fancy Hearts border die and the sentiment is from the General Sayings II set both from Whiff of Joy Stamps. I also shared how I made the matching seam binding in the tutorial here.

That's it for now. For more fun projects, please check out Whiff of Joy Tutorials & Inspiration Blog!

Abbey

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. =) Here is a card that I made for the Got Sparkle? challenge over at the Inspiration Journal.

The challenge is to add Sparkly Fluff or Stickles to your projects. I used the super fun Abbey for my card. I just love those cute Creepers from The Greet Farm!

Abbey is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I thought it would be fun to give her a two tone hair. What do you think?  I added Diamond Stickles to the bow in her hair and on her eyelids. That's my subtle sparkle. =)

The patterned paper is from It's the Little Things collection by Fancy Pants Designs. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

That's it for now. You have until July 3rd at Midnight to enter for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use at Inspiration Emporium. Please check out this post for all the details.

Have a happy day and thanks for stopping by!

On Time For Class

Happy weekend, everyone! Here is a card that I made using an image from Whiff of Joy Stamps' Back 2 School collection.

I used the handsome On Time For Class for my card. He was fun to color, but I was wondering if any boy would wear that color vast. LOL!

The image is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock then colored with Copic markers. It's then cut and embossed using a Long Classic Rectangles Large die. The sentiment piece is cut and embossed using a Reverse Wonky Rectangles die.

The patterned paper is from the Lime Twist Out Of The Blue collection by My Mind's Eye and the sentiment comes with this stamp.

Also, Whiff of Joy Stamps is paying a tribute to Michael Jackson by releasing a special digital stamp - MJ Henry. Here is a look of the handsome Henry:

You can find MJ Henry and  many other beautiful stamps at Whiff of Joy Stamps.

That's it for now. Hope you all have a beautiful (and not too hot) weekend! =)

Hello all! I am sharing a card that I made for Inspiration Challenge #3 over at Lily Pad Cards.

I was inspired by this card created by Vicky. Isn't that girl just amazing? I love her work, visit her blog here if you haven't already. She is uber talented!

I borrowed the design from Vicky's card and added a little twist of my own. The cute girl is Twirl Anya. Isn't she adorable? I added some Sugar Sparkle Fluff to her pinwheel.

The patterned paper is from Stella and Rose Gertie collection by My Mind's Eye and the sentiment is from the Find Joy set by Hero Arts.

That's all from me. Don't forget to check out what the other Dream Team members came up with for this challenge and find out how you can join the fun here.

Home Sweet Home

Happy Thursday, all! =) I have a card made with stamps from Purple Onion Designs to share with you. Purple Onion Designs is also the featured company of "Stamp" of Approval at Moxie Fab World today. Don't forget to hop over and leave a comment on the post for a chance to win some yummy stamps!

I used the versatile Home Sweet Home set to build the little house and the banner is from the Build-a-Banner set.

The background is made with a pool of ink created by pressing tumbled glass and peeled paint on my Non Stick Craft Sheet then adding a few spritz of water. I tried to keep the tumbled glass on top and the peeled paint on the button to get a sky and field/ground look. But some green escaped... =) The scene is paper pieced using patterned paper from Life is Good collection by Echo Park and the sentiment comes with the Home Sweet Home set.

That's all from me. Don't forget to leave a comment at Moxie Fab World for a chance to win some yummy stamps from Purple Onion Designs!

If you are here for the Jane's Doodles Blog Hop, please scroll down or click here. Thanks!

Hi all! Thanks for joining me for a card for this week's Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge. Here is this week's challenge:

Sparkle Creations is the sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches and we are combing two challenges. Here is the sketch:

Here is my card:

I mirrored the sketch to fit the image I wanted to use. I used the lovely Rainy Day Ruby for my card. I chose to paper piece her rain gear this time.

Ruby is stamped on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The image is then cut and embossed using a Labels 17 die (it's on sale!). The sentiment piece is cut and embossed using a die from Tags Trio.

I paper pieced Ruby's umbrella, coat and rain boots with patterned paper. I went over the paper pieced parts with matching Copic markers for some dimension. The patterned paper is from the Neighborhood collection by Crate Paper and the sentiment comes with this stamp.

That's all I have. Please go and check out what the other design team members came up with for this challenge and find out all the details for the challenge here. Hope you can join us this week! =)

Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop! The fabulous Jane is releasing 3 clear stamp sets today. If you came from Jane's blog, you are on the right track. If not, you would want to start the hop from Jane's blog. This is going to be a super fun blog hop and you wouldn't want to miss anything! Without further ado, here are my cards using the new stamps.

I used the super duper cute Little Miss Mia for my first card. Mia is based on Jane's daughter, how cool is that! Little Miss Mia is available at Claudia & Company, you can find it here.

I stamped Mia on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock then colored her with Copic markers. The patterned paper is from the Neighborhood collection by Crate Paper and the sentient is from Papertrey Ink.

For my second card, I used the adorable Noah's Ark. You can get this stamp at Jane's Doodles Store which opens today, too! Hope you don't mind that the elephants are blue and hippos are pink in my little world. =)

The patterned paper is from the Good Day Sunshine Girl Paper & Accessory Kit by My Mind's Eye and the sentiment comes with this stamp.

I used the lovely little frag from the Garden Friends set for my third card. This is a fantastic set with many little animals and fun and versatile sentiments.

The patterned paper is from the Lime Twist Fly A Kite collection by My Mind's Eye. And I just adore the font (or is it your own invention, Jane?) for that sentiment. =)

I am so happy and excited that Jane's is opening her new store and for her success, but I am so sad that this is also my last DT project for Jane's Doodles. Big huge warm THANK YOU to Jane for inviting me to join her team from the beginning and for trusting me to help showcasing her amazing images. I am a fan of your talent and always will be, Jane! =)

Ok. It's time to send you to Kelly's blog. I am sure she has some super fun projects waiting for you! Don't forget to leave comments at Jane's Doodles Blog for a chance to win all three new stamp sets!
