Card Exchanging Friends

Happy Monday, my friends! =) Here is a card that I made for CAS(E) this Sketch #43 and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog's Anything Goes challenge. Here is the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.

Here is my card.

I pretty much stick to the sketch. =) I tried a new technique for the background. I scraped bits of colors off a pink and a red Gelato and mixed them with Light Modeling Paste. I then spread them over Simon Says Stamp's Moroccan stencil to create the background.

The modeling paste created the raised look that I absolutely love! I am so glad that I tried it! You can see a video on how to do this by Kimberly Crawford here.

Most of the supplies are from Simon Says Stamp's August Card Kit of the Month. The patterned paper is from Find Your Wings and Fly - UP & Away 6x6 Designer Paper Pad by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is from Card Exchanging Friends set by Simon Says Stamp.

Just to let you know that the modeling paste that I linked below is a regular one and the one that I got is "Light" Modeling Paste. They are the same brand and I picked mine up at Michaels. The tool that I used to mix the gelatos and the paste was also from Michaels. It looks kind of like a mini spatula thing-y that you would use to smooth icing on a cake. =) The one that I linked up is the one that Kimberly used in her video.

That's all for now. Have a beautiful day, my friends! =)

Thanks for stopping by!

I won this card kit and now have another creative way to use the stencil (which I will have long after all the other supplies are used up - so that's really awesome!)
Thanks so much for sharing and congrats on winning over at CAS(E) this sketch!
