Leafy Greens
Hi ya, all! =) Here is a card that I made for the September Monthly Challenge over at Inspiration Journal as well as CAS(E) this Sketch #45.
This month's challenge over at Inspiration Journal is Falling for Faux. Link up your project that used any type of "faux" technique for a chance to win! I went with the faux watercolor technique for those those autumn leaves.
The leaves from Paper Smooches Leafy Greens set were inked with Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Bundled Sage Distress Inks (or with the combination of Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge and Barn Door) spritzed with water then stamped on watercolor paper. I love how the inks mixed so well without harsh lines.
Here is the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.
After the leaves dried, I cut them out and did a bit of collage with paper doily, Japanese washi tape and lace trim. I glued a few layers of the Thanks Word cut outs together to create more dimension and stability for the sentiment.
That's all I have for now. Don't forget to link up your "faux" projects here for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use in the Inspiration Emporium Store! You can also use discount code wonderland at check out when you shop in the Inspiration Emporium Store to receive 10% off your entire order any time! =)
Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!
