Catching The Moon For You

Happy Monday, all! =) I tried a new technique and made a card for the Stars and Stripes challenge over at Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog.

I hope you like this shimmery goodness! =) I tried the coloring on glitter technique that Jennifer McGuire has demonstrated in this video and here is one by Julie Ebersole. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to make this.

I first trimmed a piece of PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock to size then covered it with 1 1/2" wide Scor-Tape. That's the widest I have and I just line them up as best I could. After tearing off the release paper, I covered the whole piece with Glitter Ritz Warm Hightlight Micro Fine Glitter, I then went on and burnished it with my fingers. The super sweet Catching The Moon For You is then stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.

The Copic bled a little when I was coloring, but they were easily fixed with the Colorless Blender. You can definitely see the seams where the tapes met and to be honest, it bugs me to no end. LOL! But I'll learn to leave with it... =) The patterned  paper is from What's Up 6x6 Paper Pad by BasicGrey and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

That's all I have. Don't forget to check out the challenge here. Hope you can join us! =)

Have a shimmery day and thanks for stopping by!
