a winter themed card for Caardvarks

I made this card for the Caardvarks Hero Arts ~ Winter Wonderland challenge.

I got this lovely Christmas theme stamp from Hero Arts at the Scrapbook Expo Friday and was dying to play with it. I colored the image with Copic markers, and it took me six or seven tries to find a way of coloring the sky that I liked. It's still not perfect, but I am learning and trying to get my blending a little better.

Of course, this card started with a sketch that I drew and again it didn't work out the way I wanted it... While I was playing with the punched borders I decided to thread a string through the holes. Why not? They are there and nobody says "No! You can't do it!" This is how it turned out...

ingredients used:
cardstock: Papertrey Ink
patterned papers: Cosmo Cricket (Jolly by Golly)
stamp: Hero Arts
ink: Memento
markers: Copic
punch: Fiskars
string: DMC
glitters: Stickles

Thanks for stopping by!
