Love Bugs & Vintage Butterfly

Hello, hello~~ Hope your week is off to a great start! Here are a couple of cards that I made using stamps from Purple Onion Designs.

I used the lovely butterfly from the Love Bugs set for my first card.

I stamped the butterfly on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock twice, colored one body then cut and embossed the piece with a Standard Circles Large die. It's then matted with a piece of patterned paper cut using a Classic Scalloped Circles Large die before I stitched the layers together. After coloring the other one only on the wings, I cut them out and popped it up with foam tape over the circle die cut one for dimension. Some Star Dust Stickles was then added to the wings for a little bit of shine.

The patterned paper is from Everyday Flair 6x6 Designer Paper Pad by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I used the biggest butterfly from the Vintage Butterfly Set for my second card.  I stamped it with Ranger's Jet Black Archival Ink then inked the it with wild honey and barn door distress inks before trimming it out. The butterfly is then covered with Star Dust Stickles then further decorated with pearls.

The background patterned paper is from this sheet from Ladies & Gents collection by Webster's Pages. The paper edges were distressed then inked with vintage photo distress ink. I couldn't resist but adding a bit of the beautiful bloomer on it as well. =)

That's all I have for now. Don't forget to check out the fabulous stamps at Purple Onion Designs! =)

Have a happy day and thanks for stopping by!
