Floral Tattoo
Happy weekend, my friends! Here is a card that I made for this month's challenge over at the Inspiration Journal. The challenge is Got Paint? Use paints on your projects and submit it to the challenge post here for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use at the Inspiration Emporium Store!
The main panel of this card started as a piece of white cardstock. I first stamped the beautiful lace/doily image from Tim Holtz Floral Tattoo set with Ranger's Adirondack Pearl Acrylic Paint Dabber. After the paint dried, I inked the piece with peeled paint, broken china and wild honey distress inks. I then buffed the piece with a damp paper towel to wipe off the excess ink on the paint. You can see the video created by Tim Holtz showing this technique here. The edges of the pieced is inked with black soot distress ink.
The butterfly is made the same way except that it's stamped with the script from the Papillon set and inked with barn door, wild honey and dusty concord distress inks. The butterfly shape is cut using the Mini Butterflies Set die and the edges were also inked with black soot distress ink. The sentiment can be found in the Stuff to Say set and was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.
That's all I have for now. Hope you can get your paints out and give this challenge a try! You can also use code wonderland for a 10% discount for your entire purchase at the Inspiration Emporium Store. =)
Have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stoping by!
