Summer Fun

Hello, my friends! Here is a card that I made for the monthly challenge over at the Inspiration Journal.

This month's challenge is Got Paint? Use paints on your projects. The ones you can find at the Inspiration Emporium store are Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabbers, Claudine Hellmuth Studio Pants or  even Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paints would work! Us acrylic paints you have at hand and join us this month for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use at the Inspiration Emporium Store!

For the background, I embossed a piece of watercolor paper with the Retro Circles embossing folder from the Rays & Retro Circles Texture Fades Set (it's on sale!). The piece is then covered with two thin layers of Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint. I wanted a "wet" look on the embossed piece and that's why I used Rock Candy for this. It turned out very subtle, hope you can see the crackle effect on the close up.

I used the adorable Oliver from the OA - Summer Fun set for my card. He is colored with Copic markers. I added Glossy Accents to his goggles, Orange Peel and Rock Candy Distress Stickles to his "float donut." The patterned paper is from the Lime Twist Fly A Kite collection by My Mind's Eye and the sentiment comes with this stamp set.

That's all I have. For more inspirations, please visit Inspiration Journal. Also, the generous Joy from the store wants to provide the readers of my blog a 10% discount. YAY! Use discount code wonderland to receive a 10% discount for all your Inspiration Emporium purchases. There is no time limit on this code, so you can use it any time for any size purchase. IE also has very reasonable shipping policy, so go check it out!  Some of the new fall and holiday stamps designed by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous are already in the store. There is also a 10% discount on all the Hero Arts/Sizzix Pre-Orders! =)

Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!
