Red, White and Blue!
Happy 4th of July to all that celebrates it! Here is a card that I made for the month's challenge over at Inspiration Journal.
The challenge theme for the month of July is "Red, White and Blue." Use these three colors in any way that they inspire you. It definitely doesn't have to be Americana or patriotic.
I colored the adorable girl from OA Ahoy set by The Greeting Farm on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock with Copic markers and the no-line coloring technique. She is then trimmed and popped on the background with foam tape.
To make the background, I first pressed Barn Door and Faded Jeans distress inks on my craft sheet then picked up the colors with a very wet paint brush then flicked the ink onto watercolor paper. I let the ink sit on the watercolor paper for a minute or so then dabbed them dry with a paper towel. The sentiment from Simply Said set is then stamped before the image was pop dotted. A few pieces of yummy washi tapes are then added for a little interest.
That's all for now. Don't forget to check out the amazing projects my teammates created for this challenge and link up your Red, White and Blue projects here for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use at the Inspiration Emporium store. You can also use discount code wonderland for 10% off your entire order at check out! =)
Have a happy happy day and thanks for stopping by!
