The challenge is to use at least one heart on your projects and here is my take on it.
I used a heart shaped tag for my sentiment and you can't see them, but I actually used the intricate Cherish Border from Memory Box on the pink patterned paper. Yeah, I know! Why did I cover the border then??
I stamped Charlotte with a Rose on PTI's Stamper's Select White cardstock, colored part of the image then cut and embossed using a Labels Nine die. The rest of the image is paper pieced with patterned paper.
The patterned paper is from Love Me 6x6 Designer Paper Pad by My Mind's Eye. All paper edges are inked with Antique Linen and Tea Dye distress inks. The sentiment and tag are from PIT's Tiny Tags collection.
Here is a photo that hubby took when I was working on enhancing the paper pieced part of the image. Our boy (Jamie) really wanted to help by laying on my work space and mercifully allowing me a little spot to work on... Oh, I guess that he found it relaxing watching me coloring. =) Sorry that I had to block out a little bit of the image where some not-yet-posted release cards are resting.
Edited to add: I want to enter this to the "coloring and paper piecing" challenge over at Do More With Less.
