more Win A Day cards
Hi all! Here are a few more cards that I made for my day on the Hero Arts blog, but they weren't chosen to be featured. Here are two cards made using the gorgeous Starburst Lace stamp.
I stamped the Starburst Lace image with VersaMark then added T!m Holtz' distress embossing powder in tattered rose. This was the first time I used T!m's distress embossing powder. I wasn't sure if I was doing everything right since it works a little different from regular embossing powder. I do like the irregular colors and the rough texture.
I used the watercolor technique for this card. I used tattered rose distress ink and spritz some water on it before I stamp the images on the paper. I then brushed some Perfect Pearls on the images when the ink was still wet. I love the beautiful shine the Perfect Pearls gives! I also stamped one extra image and cut out the middle part, then added it to the card for some dimension. The sentiment that I used for both cards is from this set.
For this card, I clear-embossed Designer Woodgrain onto the tan card base. I then stamped the Silhouette Grass using the watercolor technique with T!m's distress inks in peeled paint, tea dye and walnut stain. The sentiment is from this set and the border punch is this one by Fiskars. Finally, a more manly card from me. I couldn't resist and added some beads to the ends of the twine though. =)
That's all for now. Hope you have a lovely day!
