Rin and Snowman

This is my second post of the day. Please click here or scroll down to see my card using the adorable Super Cupcake Marci from La La Land Crafts. Thanks!

Hi all! Yes, it's me again. I squeezed in some time to make a card for Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps Challenge #14.

This week's challenge is clean & simple.

Don't you love this image? I am in love. I don't see Asian themed stamps a lot let alone a Christmas one, so when I saw this one I knew I had to get it! It's called Rin and Snowman.

To continue the Japanese theme, I used some beautiful Japanese Washi(和紙) that I have squirreled away. I used to really into origami and bought a few packs of those amazing handmade paper. That and the fact that I am obsessed with paper... Anyhoo. I kept the layout really simple and tried to mimic the obi(帯, waist band on Rin's kimono) with the red washi and a piece of gold embroidery floss. The white background washi actually has really pretty silk fiber thing-y in it. The Japanese sentiment stamp says Merry Christmas in Katakana and is from Hero Arts.

I am thinking about making a few more of this. Hopefully with different washi for this year's Christmas cards. Fingers crossed and hope that gets done. =)

That's all for today. Hope your Sunday is fabulous!

Thanks for stopping by!

Well Alice, you keep this card simple, but I think it's simply gorgeous. Cute coordination between the paper & Sparkle's image. Very sweet coloring job too :o)
