CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #97

Happy Friday, all! =) It's time for a new challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays! Here is this week's challenge.

The new challenge theme is to use chevrons and flowers on your projects. Here is my card.

This Studio Calico chevron mask has been sitting in my stash for a while now and I finally break it out for this challenge. =) I taped it down over the cardstock and brushed some gesso over the mask to get the background. I really like the textures gesso created!

The floral piece is actually a patterned envelop from Fancy Pants, I didn't use it as an envelop but it's still a nice "embellishment." =) The banner and sentiment are from Happy Every Day set by Simon Says Stamp.

This week's sponsor is Ellen Hutson. Enter your chevrons and flowers projects for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to use at Ellen Hutson! See all the challenge details here.

That's all from me. My fellow Girl Fridays made some amazing samples for this week's challenge, so don't forget to go and check them out at CAS-ual Fridays! Hope you can join us this week! =)

Have a sweet day and thanks for stopping by!

this is fabulous! I've never seen that gesso masking technique before. Does it make the card heavy to mail?
