a little purple skirt and some ribbons

This is a double duty card that I made for the first challenge from Mo's Challenge Blog and for the "Take a Bow" challenge sponsored by May Arts over at Caardvarks.

This image called Bella and Bronte from Mo's Digital Pencil just warms my heart! It's so cute and so fun to color! Don't you think the doggy is so cute with his slightly shy expression? I also love Bella's little fluffy skirt! The first challenge at Mo's new challenge blog is to use some purple and one of Mo's images.

The Caardvarks crew have made some amazing cards with May Arts ribbons, please go and check them out! The challenge this time is to use ribbons in a wonderful way. Ribbons happen to be one of my favorite embellishments when making cards and buttons come a close second. And I used them both here!

I decided to list the Copic colors that I used from this card on... It's because this was the second time that I colored this image (I found out about the challenge after I colored the first and didn't use any purple in it!!! Duh!), and when I was trying to remember what I used for the doggy in my first I couldn't figure it out!!!??? I ended up trying out some colors and made up another set of colors for this one... It took me a little while to find the colors that would blend well and made sense for a dog... It's mostly for my own reference, but if you have a good combination (for anything!) that you love and would like to share please do! I would love to try it!
