Summer Fun

First of all, the winner of the adorable Rosie from POD's new The Sweetest Day collection is Pam Sparks! Congratulations, Pam! I already emailed you! =) The preview of The Sweetest Day collection continues today, please go to Purple Onion Designs Blog for all the links and for a chance to win the entire collection! =)

I'll share more cards made with the new collection with you in the next few weeks, but lets get back to our normal broadcasting. I mean, post. =) Here is a card that I made for this month's Watercolor Challenge over at Inspiration Journal.

I hope this card makes you craving for summer! =) At lease I was aiming for a summery look. You can create any kind of watercolor project to enter the challenge for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use over at Inspiration Emporium.

I stamped the adorable girl from TGF's Summer Fun set on watercolor paper with archival ink and colored her with distress ink pads and a water brush. The colors that I used are Tattered Rose, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, Tea Dye and Ripe Persimmon from the Fall Limited Edition.

To create the background, I pressed Picket Fence, Broken China and Wild Honey distress stains on my craft sheet, I then sprayed some water over both the inks and the watercolor paper before dragging the watercolor paper through the pool of ink. I added strips of patterned paper from Miss Caroline Howdy Doody 6x6 Designer Paper Pad to ground the image and for a little interest.

That's it for now. Please visit Inspiration Journal for more inspirations and don't forget to enter your watercolor projects here for a chance to win 50 Emporium Dollars to use over at Inspiration Emporium. You can also use discount code "wonderland" for 10% off your entire purchase! =)

Have a  fabulous day and thanks for stopping by!
