Spring 2015 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop

Hi and welcome to the Spring 2015 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! =) I will be sharing projects made using some of the new stamps and dies.

I was lucky to get to play with the beautiful Mondo Magnolia stamp set. I absolutely adore the large magnolia flower and oh Julie's brush script sentiments are to die for! =)

The magnolias are stamped on PTI's Rustic White cardstock with Antique Linen Distress Ink then colored with Copic markers. I was trying to capture the textures on the petals and thought that I did okay! =)

I kept the design really simple since the gorgeous magnolias speak for themselves.

For my second card, I used the matching Mondo Magnolia die set along with the stamp set and cut the smaller flowers in the center out and layered them with vellum also cut using the same die.

The flowers are also stamped with Antique Linen Distress Ink to get the no-line coloring look. You could probably tell that I am obsessed with the technique at the moment. =)

I used a piece of yummy paper from Bazzill's Specialty Kraft with Gold Foil 6x6 paper pad and gold embroidery thread to help me with the design of the card. And the sentiment comes with the Mondo Magnolia set and it's covered with Clear Wink of Stella for a subtle shimmer.

That's all I have and guess what? I get to give a Mondo Magnolia stamp set away to a lucky winner!!! =) Please leave a comment on this post for a chance to win this beautiful and versatile set!

All the fun begins in the CLASSroom and there is a Grand Giveaway! To enter, make sure to leave a comment there and at every stop along the hop by May 5th! Winners will be announced May 8th. Here is the complete hopping list:
