Large Flower and Life + Zig Zag

Hello, my friends! Hope you are having a beautiful week so far. =) Here are a couple of cards that I made for this month's challenge over at Hero Arts Blog, A Blog Named Hero and for Chevron Color Trends Challenge over at Embellish Blog.

My first card is for this month's challenge over at Hero Arts Blog. I used one of the sketches for the challenge and played with window cards technique from A Cut Above online class that I am taking. I also want to submit this to the Cards with a view challenge over at A Blog Named Hero.

I stamped and colored one of the beautiful roses from Large Flower Background with Prismacolor colored pencils. I then cut it out and mounted it over the window that I cut using one of the frame dies from Frames with Springs set. I added a piece of acetate behind the window to help support the rose since it's popped up on foam tape.

I also stamped Flower Dot Pattern on the card base with Chamomile ink from PTI's Tea Dye Duo Inking System. The ink fades as it dries and created a very nice and subtle look. All paper edges are inked with the same ink as well. The patterned paper is from London Market 6x6 Collage Paper Pack by Pink Paislee and the sentiment is from Sending Smiles Message set.

My second card is for Chevron Color Trends Challenge at Embellish Blog.

I stamped Hero Arts Zig Zag with Pumice Stone distress ink on the back of a piece of watercolor paper by stamping the first impression off on scratch paper, spritzed some water over the remaining ink and used the second impression for my background.

The flowers/branches from PTI's Life set are stamped with Dusty Concord and Milled Lavender distress inks. I used the same stamping technique as stamping the background for the Dusty Concord ones to soften the color a bit. The sentiment from Tiny Tags set is stamped with Evergreen Bough.

That's all for now. Hope you have a fabulous day! =)

Thanks for stopping by!
