Birdie Love

Here is another card made using the beautiful stamp set " Birdie Love" illustrated by Elisabeth Bell available at Whiff of Joy Stamps.

I stamped two images from the stamp set on my watercolor paper, then colored the images using distress inks and a water brush. This is probably my third try and it was finally good enough. Phew... I had fun coloring using distress inks, but a lot more practice is needed! =)

Those pretty patterned papers are from an old Anna Griffin collection. I got them in a scrapbook kit from the JBS Mercantile a long time ago. I thought that the beautiful butterfly charm is the perfect embellishment for this image. I also used last week's sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card, and of course I missed the deadline... I am missing deadlines so often now, I don't even feel bad about it anymore. LOL! I just keep telling myself that I enjoyed making it and that I liked how it came out. =)
Hope you have a happy Wednesday!
