a card for Embellish Magazine

I made this simple card for Embellish Magazine's Embellish Stitching Color Challenge.

Very simple stamped card using Papertrey Ink's Dot Spot and Mod Squad. Faux stitching added using this white gel pen.

happy day

On to today's card. I was so excited to get my new stamps from both A Muse and Papertrey Ink last week, I had to play! Here is what I made:

It's a marriage of stamps from three different companies. I used Hero Arts' fabulous Clouds stamp for my background. The tree, hills and sentiment are from this cute set from PTI.

This adorable little bear has to be one of the cutest!! She is MB Girl Bear from A Muse. I was giggling all the time when I was coloring her! =) I paper pieced her "dress" using some PIT Green Tea Leaves scraps.

The hills are paper pieced using scraps from PTI's Pretty Pastels. I also colored a few more flowers from the Girl Bear image, cut them out and glued them to the tree. After I stamped the sentiment on my cardstock, I drew a cloud shape around it then cut out. The faux stitching is then added using this trusty white gel pen.

I am submitting this to Moxie Fab World's Picking Up the Pieces Challenge since I did a bit of paper piecing.

Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs Blog Hop

Hi all! I am so excited to be part of this really fun blog hop hosted by talented template designer - Kelleigh Ratzlaff. Here is my project:

Isn't this just so cute? I used Kelleigh's Candy Dispenser Template and papers from Gardenonogie for my project. Doesn't this just make snacking so much more elegant? =) I inked the edges with tea dye and vintage photo. The butterflies are punched with scarps from making this project using this punch. I decided to add a pearl on the bigger butterfly after I took the first photo.

I don't have the luxury of owning a large format printer, so I had to shrink the template a bit. This little dispenser is almost 3 inches tall and just a bit short of 2 inches wide. I put some yummy Easter color m&m dark chocolate in it. I think it's good that it's small since it will in a way limit how much I can eat in one setting. It's now sitting on my crafting table and performing its duty while I make cards!! =)

This week's sponsor is JustRite Stampers. I used one of the beautiful flower images from Plant a Little Love set. I honestly don't know what kind of flower this is and I would love it if any of you can tell me! =)

I stamped Background Basics: text style on the Labels Nine die cut using tea dye then inked the whole piece with yummy spun sugar. I think the Labels Nine die cut makes an elegant border for the circle.

I stamped the the big swirly leaf stamp from PTI's Turning A New Leaf set on my card base using tattered rose. I love the spotty outcome that gives a nice rustic look. The sentiment from this set is stamped using vintage photo.

Mother & Child + a candy

Happy Sunday, my friends!! Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend! Here are a few cards I made using images from Whiff of Joy Stamps to share with you.

This stamp is called Mother & Child illustrated by Norma Fickel. It's such a sweet image for a mother's day card!

The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye's Be Loved collection.

Jane's Doodles New Releases!

Jane is releasing some new digital stamps over at Squigglefly today and I have two cards made using her new images to share with you.

I used Vintage Rabbit for this card. This one is different from Jane's other designs, but it's a special one. She drew this for her husband years ago when they were still dating. How sweet is that?

I used some gorgeous digital paper from Gardenologie by Quirky Twerp available at The Digichick. I inked all the papers with spun sugar and tea dye distress inks. The rabbit image piece is also inked with a little bit of vintage photo. And yes, I used this design again, shamelessly... This might be my new go-to sketch for now. =)

I adore those pretty Tulips! This is also one of Jane's new releases. I think it's so elegant and classy.

The paper is from this beautiful digital kit created by Digital Birdhouse. I love the subtle and elegant patterns in this kit. I am also submitting this card to Lucy's Clean & Simple Challenge.

It's another liberal take on Taylor's sketch, but I couldn't help myself! Is this some kind of disease? Unable-to-follow-sketches syndrome? LOL! Ok, I really wanted to use this fun stamp from Norma Fickel's spring/Easter release at Whiff of Joy Stamps. This stamp is called Spring Joy. Such a delightful image! =)

I was experimenting with shooting my cards at different angles. Sorry if they look weird... =) The lovely patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Girl Friday collection. The ribbon is from Fancy Pants Designs. And the sentiment is from this versatile set by Hero Arts.

Princess Mia

I can't believe it's Friday already! This week just flew by me! Hope your week has been wonderful! I have a card made using one of Jane's new digital releases to share with you.

This cute image is "Princess Mia". It's based on Jane's daughter Mia. Don't you just love her? I adore the bend-aid detail on her leg, too cute! I added the daisies/flower-like thing-y to her dress and ballon. I just think that everything has to match for a princess! LOL! =) I should have done the crown, too... I also added my doodles around the sentiment.

The matching papers are from a digital kit called Springtime Basics by Shimelle Laine available at Two Peas. I love the polka dot patterns on the spring colors in this set. I also used Laura's Sketch #48 over at 2 Sketches 4 You for my card. The sentiment is from PTI's Butterfly Dreams set.

In honor of Mia's birthday, Jane is having a "Mia Birthday Giveaway" at her blog. And yes, she is giving away this cute digital stamp all day Friday! So hop over to her blog and check it out! This digital stamp will be available for purchasing at Squigglefly starting Saturday.

JustRite Stampers Mega March Blog Hop

Welcome to JustRite Stampers Mega March Blog Hop! Here is my card:

I used the pretty hydrangea image from the beautiful Plant a Little Love set. JustRite Stampers makes some of the most beautiful flower stamps and I am so in love with this one.

I used some beautiful digital papers from this gorgeous kit. The sentiment is from this set. The hydrangea was stamped on a piece of Rustic Cream cardstock from PTI and was highlighted with spun sugar when the paper was still in the die. I also distressed all the other papers with spun sugar and tea dye distress inks. The tiny butterflies were punched using this Martha Stewart punch.

And of course there are candies up for grabs if you join the hop. Here is the details:
