Bird Watching + a giveaway!
Jane is having a set of new digital images released today at Squigglefly. Before I get to my cards, my big congrats to Lucy and Mariana who just joined Jane's Doodles Design Team! Also, we have the fabulous Donna Mikasa as our Guest Friend!! She is joining us to create projects for this week's release. Please hop over to their blogs and give those ladies some love! =)
Jane's new release is a set of three bird themed images called Bird Watching. Here is my card using "Owl on Branch."
She (I think in this card she is a she) is cute, huh? I chose to paper piece her this time. The patterned papers that I used are from Papertrey Ink's Pretty Pastels. Since there are some dots on my card, I think I am qualified for Lucy's Polka Dots Challenge.
Here is "Birdhouses". I paired it with this yummy digital kit. Don't you just adore Jane's simple designs? I especially love those little daisies. =)
The last image in this kit is "Bird and Worm". I went "awww...." when I first saw this adorable image. Isn't it just so sweet? I added the yellow belly on the bird and the stripes on the worm for a little personal touch. The sentiment is inspired by Jane herself. Thanks, girl! The stamps that I used to stamp the sentiment is a mini alpha set from Hampton Arts that I got from Michaels dollar bin.
